    Hey Ya'll,

On highway this Saturday, 95F outside (2007 Speed3, 157k miles) and I think I was messing around with the recirculate button or changing the vents the air would come from and suddenly I have virtually no air flow from vents. What was coming out was cold but not enough flow to cool the cabin. :flamethrower2:

The blower was working...I could hear it at full speed but no air coming out.

2 hours of sweating goes by...and then we hit a massive pothole (KW v3...so tired of those high spring rates) and my girl says, I bet that fixed it...I role my eyes:meparto:....she turns on the AC / fan and it works...not quite 100% but more like 75%. :dancing:

Car sits for a day, and now blower blows air as normal.

Is the cause the recirculate flap / door or the air partitioning flap / door?

I'm still trying to source where I can buy a compressor for a reasonable price . The dealer wants 1k for compressor and clutch assembly they are sold separately . I made a post a few weeks back but no one has replied .

When was the last time you checked the cabin air filter?

Ya filter came to mind...I changed it a few years ago. I didn't have any tools on me but I will check it this week. But filter doesn't become unclogged all of sudden. Its usually a slow progression.

Not necessarily true. It can suck up garbage and clog. Then when the system is off it drops the garbage and is fine until it just sucks it up again. I doubt that's the case but it is something to check.

You really ought to change it yearly or check it every oil change unless you never drive the car

It does if this nest from my speed 6 rebuild is found. I've had 4 cars with ball of nesting debris. So tasty is the auto parts? No I don't eat in cars, especially never catsup bbq packets...On my 3 with the fan scroll inside cage the outside air entry to fan it's really easy to clog, then fall out onto filter surface. The cabin air filter and chamber were clear. I changed the filter while I was there

IF the motor for the recirculation door gets stuck would it impede airflow? OR could the air proportioning door do that?
