I need some help determining which OEM parts I’ll need to replace the struts/springs. Here are the documents with a myriad of parts:

So for the rear obviously I’d need 28-010A (spring), but do I need the 28-800 collection of parts or 28-0A3 etc. or can I reuse the existing ones? And can I get away with just 28-700 for the strut portion?

For the front, I’ll need 34-910 (strut) and 34-0118 (spring), but do I need 34-111, 34-012, 34-015, 34-390 collection (top mount), etc.

I’d like to reuse as much as I can.

    Thanks for any help!

I ended up just buying some used front/rear struts. Supposedly low mileage. They didn’t come with rear springs but I can get those from the dealer.

Turns out the used struts I ordered had H&R lowering springs on them… :) Not only that, I think they are H&R springs for the ‘regular’ Mazda 6 (29311). That makes it complicated because I already have the rear OEM springs so there’d be a difference in height. I’m not even 100% certain the front struts are the stock Mazdaspeed 6… Whatever the case I’ll return them.

I’m considering installing OEM springs for front and rear and hope that the existing struts still dampen properly at the original height. Or I might also get OEM struts since I can get them cheaper than quality alternatives. Not sure yet what to do.

After much back and forth I ended up getting some low mileage (<40,000) OEM springs and struts from someone who might be on these forums…

I’m surprised what a difference the OEM suspension makes vs. my previous (and sagging) H&R springs. The OEM is not nearly as tight and sporty. However, it still feels good even if there is more swaying of the car body. And I can feel good about not worrying as much about scraping. It feels really tall though!
