    Hello all,

Doing a stock rebuild on a B2300. My service manual is missing the entire section on the lower end. My specific question here is: for a completely stock rebuild, can the main bearing cap bolts and con rod bolts be reused or are they TTY?

If they cannot be reused, where can I find replacements for them?

That should be a duratech, not sure that it has much in common with the motor in a mazdaspeed

Duratec is Ford’s brand name for the Mazda L series of engines. The Mazda 3 uses the same 2.3L motor as the Ford Rangers and B2300’s, just biased for horsepower instead of torque.

In any case, I ended up finding a bootlegged version of the Mazda L FSM and there is a section on inspecting the main bearing cap and con rod bolts. They can be reused if within spec:
Max length of main bearing cap bolts: 111.3mm
Max length of con rod bolts: 46mm

*Same block, different crank, rods, pistons, head and manifolds. Our injectors won't fit any other platform and vice versa, or we'd have upgrades already.

    Edit:
The bolts all might be TTY.
