I just bought my Speed about 3 weeks ago, and I hardly got to enjoy it. Its a 2010 Speed3 with 150,xxx miles and I was really starting to fall in love with the car.

Unfortunately a dude who was distracted by his phone hit me and now trying to save her. The car isnt totaled and im trying to do all the repairs i can myself.

My accessport is throwing these codes:

P0193-Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit high input

    P0579-Cruise control multi function input

    P1260-Immobilizer system problem

    UO121-Communication error to ABS HU/CM

There are several severed wires which is what im really hoping is the issue for most of these codes, If anyone has any tips please help me out

(I’ll include some pictures of the damage)

My advice is to find another car and swap your stuff over. Even a sedan of the same generation could work. The car won't be the same again even if you fix and rebuild it.

Or you could part it out. I think you'll find if you try to fix it then it's going to be more and more and more stuff added to repair it than what you originally thought or what Insurance paid out for.

I don't see how that isn't totalled with that mileage. Why not just have insurance fix it if it's not totalled

Very possible your codes could be caused by damage to electrical circuits, or physical damages to modules or sensors themselves.

Why isn't insurance fixing this if it's not a write off?

Insurance probably isn't fixing it cause he was deemed at fault even though he is saying someone hit him.
