  1. PCM Reprogramming

    The PCM in my 2008 MS3 died, I have replaced it with a used PCM. How do I go about reprogramming it to the car for the immobilizer and stuff? If the dealer is the only way, can Ford do it? I don’t have a local Mazda dealer.

    I find it super weird that for the first 20 minutes the car doesn’t have any issues, I can beat the day lights out of it, but randomly when driving the RPMS will just drop to idle, I won’t have any APP, I press the gas and get nothing, I’ll have to shut the car off and back on to start driving...

    Well I said my throttle position was good but looking back at the log I posted, it’s kind of sporadic just like the APP. With KOEO, APP will read 0% with no pedal, press the pedal in it’ll goto 99%. With no pedal the throttle position is 0%, press the pedal in it’ll goto 78%.

    Update: idle issue ended up being a clogged EGR (stuck open) threw on a EGR delete and it’s doing great now.

    Compression test revealed all cylinders had between 175 and 190PSI. I know the vacuum is super low for what it should be. KOEO, vacuum reads -12.5, but i for the life of me cannot find a vacuum leak. So back to my original thought of a with clogged injectors or something of that sort?
