I went ahead with EBC slotted rotors and Yellow Suff Pads... Not quite the initial bite I was looking for, but man these really stop this car. Very pleased with the EBC rotors and pads. Except they are a bit pricy.....

After break in time, I really like these EBC Yellow Pads and EBC Slotted rotors. Nice initial bite and they can lock the wheels if you hammer them. Just a little on the expensive side.

If you live in a state like California (I do) they check for these so I cannot remove them. Note that Versa Tuner did allow me to pass my check when put back to stock. Thanks again Versa Tuner.

Wow so the axle nuts were welded? Was that done by Mazda or some mechanic? Do you have to buy a whole new assembly to fix this? Sorry to see this.

I went with EBC slotted rotors and Yellow Stuff pads. I have not driven much on them yet. But at least the surging due to warped rotors is gone.

Most issues were failed AC pumps, VVT chains, Turbo seals. A lot of that had to do with not doing enough maintenance on them. I have only had the VVT issue at 100,000 miles. 2007

It is an engine upgrade so I thought the engine section would be okay. If you think it belongs in another section as the moderator, you can move it if you like.

Having had warping issues with the Mazda Rotors, not having that happen is a primary goal. Will the Stop Tech disks stand up to my "abuse"? My Son ran some Yellow EBC and liked them. But said they wore his stock rotors. How is your wear with them on Stop Tech rotors?

I run Nitto 420s 255s. I live in California so I do not go off road or in snow with this car. I have a turbo Baja for that.

Need to do the brakes. I liked the stock brakes power. Disliked both the dust and the disk warping after one hard drive. Updated with new stock disks and EBC Red pads. I liked the low dust and no noise. Disliked the reduced initial bite (something I really like) and these disks again...

I found you have to fill out their form for a tune on their web site. But they did respond to my email telling me to do exactly that and that I had to have my HP fuel pump upgraded (bought the internals from them) and install new plugs that were colder than the ones I had before they could...

Impressive fabrication. What was the cause of the broken piston ring lands? I am really happy with mine after my pro tune.. Made a huge difference.
