If it doesn't fix it you may want to replace the sensor. Mine was leaking from the sensor itself, not the threads.

I'm not a metals expert but brass into aluminum shouldn't be a problem. We do it consistently in my industrial workplace. I run into more galling when it's aluminum on aluminum.
