could it possibly be the VVT if it drops in rpm’s after i give it a rev to about 3k it’ll drop to 500rpm maybe lower and the car acts like it wants to stall then jumps back up

I just got my speed3 about two weeks ago and it is making a weird tapping noise can’t tell if it’s rod knock or the timing chain at first i thought it was the timing chain but now it sounds like it might actually be rod knock the car just hit 97k miles so i was assuming the timing chain because...
