    Auxiliary Coolant pump idea

Heyo, just wanted to probe someone else who might be more knowledgeable than I would be. I recently spoke with someone who had a merc and got to take a look under the engine bay when he mentioned that those motors use an auxiliary coolant pump that will continue to pump coolant while the car is...

    Concerning fuel trims

An update, nothing concrete. It's been a long time and I haven't seen any crazy fuel trims. Right now in average it's remained below +10% on the long term. I've repaired my a/c so I haven't let the car get too hot as it increases the radiator fan speed. But occasionally attempted to let the car...

    Concerning fuel trims

Yep did do that and nothing changed in fuel trims strangely when I sprayed into said hole. I'll give it a shot again but have been repairing my A/C this weekend.

    Concerning fuel trims

Back to the usual it seems. Was a little hotter today than the previous. Until it gets back to being 80 degrees again, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it maybe ambient temp related. Today was 65 but unlike yesterday when it was raining, today was full sunshine and definitely hotter. When...

    Concerning fuel trims

Odd, accidentally hit the wrong pic on the gallery, had hit cancel before it finished uploading but might've gone through, thanks for letting me know. I'll wait for a hotter day and maybe dog on the car a little bit to see if it will produce the same results for +12 ish and see if maybe it has...

    Concerning fuel trims

Just odd. The car has reamined at 7% ltft after a drive today. The only thing that changed between then and now is today is 65 degrees, yesterday was 80. Also ecu was reset during the whole o2 thing since I had to remove the battery to do it.

    Concerning fuel trims

Sorry for taking so long. Been a really busy week but had time this weekend to work on the car. So, unplugged secondary o2, and results seem to be the same. Only as the car starts to get warmer does fuel trims get worse, though ever since the whole smoke fiasco I had, it has never went passed...

    Concerning fuel trims

Sorry haven't gotten around to it. Had a few things I wanted to look at the junkyard, but tomorrow will give it a shot. Ebay currently has a 15% off deal so I'm thinking just buying a brand new one since the car is most parts but the motor is at 230k miles now. After driving around today, even...

    Concerning fuel trims

I'm tempted to say o2 since afr's jump around as soon as the car gets up to temp. When cold, afrs were steady. Cold: Warm: Going to get a sensor from the junkyard, also have been looking for an intercooler aswell

    Concerning fuel trims

Seems you were right; it was the residual oil from blowing past seals when I pressurized the intake. Just posted an update. My old fuel trims with these mods used to be pretty good from this old reply: Nothing changed between then and now, so something leaks when the car is hot. Going to...

    Concerning fuel trims

You guys were right with the oil seals on the turbo being the cause. Went for a drive, and burnt off the oil and now no longer smoking. Popped open the hood to see smoke coming from the exhaust heatshield so I assume turbo. Now that smoking is resolved, seems we're back to the old fuel trims...

    Concerning fuel trims

I can get behind that theory, I'll go for a bit lengthy of a drive now that I have the peace of mind that oil isn't being consumed that fast. Wanted to be sure in-case I was running dry. The turbo is old, I already have parts to rebuild the turbo and have been planning for a while; including a...

    Concerning fuel trims

Oil level is still at the same max position. Waited about 1 hr ish.

    Concerning fuel trims

Yeah I would too, though I had ran it for more than 10 minutes last night with the same results, and this startup I just performed, I was expecting it to smoke much less and return back to normal. Interestingly, there isn't a huge amount of smoke from coldstart, looks about normal, but as car...

    Concerning fuel trims

Started it up this morning somehow, without doing anything, fuel trims are exactly where I want it. Ltft +3% and stft targetting 0% perfectly. Now I've got another issue concerning excess white smoke out the exhaust. Smells like water, I doubt its oil but I'm confused how I even got here now...
