Thanks for the feedback. This is the first Mazdaspeed3 I've worked on. Guess it is similar to WRXs and their loud injectors.

Sounds like it is loudest from the driver side of the engine. Not sure what the issue could be. Had some codes when I purchased the car. Did an oil change, cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor. Runs a lot better now, but would like to get rid of the ticking noise. 2012 Mazdaspeed3 130,000...
