I'm in Pasadena, not far from Ellicott city at all. To be clear, I'm not remotely concerned about putting in / on the new ones; the ones I have are two part for the front portion of the control arm (which several videos have confirmed are pretty straight-forward to install with a bench vise) and...
Hi all. This might be a case of 'sucks to suck bro' but here goes.
Front right control arm went bad, (ball joint failed, bushings shot) and I'm at 130k so I figure hey, let's just replace both sides.
Then I figure, hey, why not install some anti-lift bushings from Powerflex and camber...
You got a link for that mesh? Corksport's hood scoop looks amazing, but damn do I need some mesh to cover the fugly innards of the scoop's channels. Or was it a custom job? I imagine just buying mesh isn't a huge deal to do yourself but jc.
Starting Monday, buttoned up / driving by Thurs night, and detailed Friday, I:
Installed-
Intake Manifold gasket (OEM)
Throttle body gasket (CS)
Added another catch can
PCV Plate (DM)
Sparkplugs (one step colder NGK's, my old ones were basically gapped that way from buildup anyway lol)...
Shame, I liked their exhaust manifold. That said, Corksport's not gonna allow orders / adding of their items until Sept / Oct for the manifolds, so that'll be my next parts to install. I'm pushing 120k on the block / internals, so it's only a matter of time. The fact that overspeed and their...
It's the ol 'give a mouse a cookie' scenario....if I go ST mani, I need a FMIC...if I go FMIC, I'll need a Bayson R Grill to let it breathe...if I buy a Bayson R grill, I'll of course need to buy more body kit pieces to put the look all together...lol
Then again, that's what I love about cars...
Installed CS rear sway bar, really tightened up the car. Also installed Corksport solid shifter bushing - wow. Car's at 102k miles, and I honestly didn't think it'd make that big of a difference because the old rubber looked fine and was malleable / not dried out, but it feels a lot better.
CS...
Here for any parts that eventually come up for sale...sorry for your loss man. Deer suck ass. I tipped one with the corner of my car back when I had my 300zx and all I hit was its back legs as it jumped out of the road, and I sent it spinning through the air. Barely looked like it cracked the...
I have the Damond trilogy and they were a bit noisy for the first 2-300 miles but now I'm just used to it. I genuinely can't remember how quiet the car was before so... ya know. ¯\_(?)_/¯
That said, the trio definitely makes it hard to see wtf is in your rearview mirror. Thinking about buying...
A small amount, same - wouldn't call it sloppy but its got a little bit of wiggle room. I have the DM SSP. I bought theirs on a whim at the same time as the motor mounts so I honestly did zero research on any difference between brands of SSP between DM, CS, etc etc
I know it doesn't change anything in the transmission, but physically, the movement does very slightly alter the forces applied to the actual shifter plate. Is it enough to matter in a significant fashion? Probably not, but I didn't have any issues shifting into first before I installed it and...
I'm in Pasadena. The SSP has made it so sometimes (very occasionally) shifting into first gear sort of stops before reaching fully 'in gear' and I have to go back to neutral, out/in w/ the clutch, and then it'll shift in. I haven't done bushings tbf, so that could be a part of it, but the theory...
