    Total Noob Seeking Tune Help

Your MAF calibration is totally off for your intake. It's easy, desired lambda 0.98, actual lambda 0.65, that's almost 35% off.

    Cracking spark plugs

This is good info, thank you for your reply. However in my case the case was different. I'm at the 3rd engine after that event, and none prior or after that one developed this issue. I always torque the spark plugs the same way, so something was up with that head or engine. I don't know what it...

Will a ported stock intake manifold cause cylinder 3 to fail?

This person is correct. #3 fails because of the exhaust manifold, not because of the intake manifold. Now you can tell your tuner, whoever that is, that at least two other forum members told you so.

How-To MAP Sensor Upgrade (The Easy Way)

Ok, in case there are still people self-tuning around here and they have a 4BAR Bosch MAP sensor (281002576) here are the values I calculated based on the specs of the sensor (AP/Versatuner): Scalar A/MAP Scale Base Multiplier: 231.48 Scalar B/MAP Scale Second Multiplier: 0.4 Offset/MAP Scale...

New oil pump - Ecoboost Mountune?

Ok, since as far as I'm concerned I'm the ZZB uncrowned king (6) I wonder if with with this new engine I'm building I'd use I should use an OEM pump, an EcoBoost pump or this one: https://www.mountuneusa.com/High-Pressure-Oil-Pump-Ford-EcoBoost-p/2536-op-aa.htm With the last engines I've had...

Measured AFR way richer than Commanded - 33% E85/91 Versatuner Tune

If you want to command AFRs leaner than 1Lambda you will have to disconnect the secondary O2 sensor. And of course disable DCTs for the secondary O2.

Changing the Gear ratios in the ECU calibration

No, there isn't, that would have to go into the ABS control module as well and VT only handles ECU stuff. Indeed, but the accuracy is decent and the error in the speedos is actually programmed (same for the engine RPM gauge). the OBD speed is pretty much on par with the GPS speed on the other hand.

Changing the Gear ratios in the ECU calibration

Ok, the speedo displays the readings via whatever the ABS module reports, so there is no influence at all from the gear ratios in the tune. It makes sense though, when in between gears or the clutch is pushed in the speed will still display correctly and has nothing to do with the gear ratios at...

Measured AFR way richer than Commanded - 33% E85/91 Versatuner Tune

How did you alter the MAF cal compared to your pump gas reference tune?

Changing the Gear ratios in the ECU calibration

Has anyone played with the gear ratios in the tune? What I'm trying to accomplish is to bring the speedo closer to the GPS readings but I don't know the impact of changing a few things there (essentially the final drive ratios) for accel/decel adjustment and possibly other things that we can't...

    load tuning problem

Make sure you turn the traction control off when going WOT in the first 3 gears. I target no more than 1.6 load in 1st because FWD FTW! I see you go well above 2, you will never even put that much torque to the ground. Load 2 at 4000-ish RPM is about 470-ish Nm or 360-ish lb*ft of torque to the...

    Mazdaspeed new head

Does anyone know if when acquired new these heads come with all required parts? I see that on some web shops they come without the camshafts and cam followers (L3K910090G).
