How trashed? holes/cracks in the block? local machine shop could be the better option. If your buying used online, do your research on the company and at the very least get them to provide you compression numbers.

Did the jumper test. Car started and idled for a bit. While idling I started jiggling the wire harness loom that the MAF pigtails run to and the car immediately died. Ill be peeling loom and electrical tape to inspect wiring next. Thanks again
