Right? when the shop called and said I broke my axel I literally said “thank god!” Haha

Update! Ended being a broken axel. Transmission is fine!

The Noise audible when the clutch is in or out. Also audible clunking/chattering noise when attempting to “drive” the car. Ie put it in gear with clutch in and slowly releasing clutch while applying throttle.

As an update, I started the car today to do some more listening. At idle it’s makes this tapping sound (tap tap tap... pause... tap tap tap... pause... tap tap tap.) the taps are fast and the pause is about a half second intervals. Again engine idles perfect and revs perfect. Sound is coming...

I I checked my shifter cable in the engine bay and it was still good. Have not checked the actual shifter assembly. Although when I have the car running and attempted to put in gear and drive I can hear audible clanking near the transmission. Leads me to believe it’s the trans but I’ll...
