    Ok it’s been almost a month of driving my MPS and all seems ok, there is still a hint of fuel smell but the oil level has remained the same. Thanks for the advise.

    Yeh the outer seal worried me, so I refitted the original one, and the metric x-ring looked ok and seemed un-damaged. I’m going to start it up this morning, see how it goes.

    Thanks for the reply, I removed the pump again today. The spring side smelt like it was covered with fuel. The metric X-ring that I had fitted has a larger ID than the shaft of the piston that is meant to seal against and is larger than the original X-ring, but once fitted into the housing it...

    Hi, Rob from Sydney Australia. I fired up my mps 6 after rebuilding my HPFP with Autotech internals and Michael Rey's seal kit. All seems OK, the engine starts and idles smooth, according to my AP, fuel pressure averages around 1700psi, I replaced the engine oil and filter before I fired it up...
