This is probably a noob question lol, but pretty sure my fmic piping is causing false knock where is goes down into the space where to washer fluid reservoir would go. It was contacting the headlight bezel so I trimmed it back. After I did that it was was pretty loose in there so i ziptied it...
So put in the new plugs as recommended by Alan and the KR seems have gotten worse. Doesn't happen every pull, but when it does it goes into the high 3's-low 4's
If it goes away with ethanol wouldn't that mean it's real knock? I'd have to drive a ways to get some ethanal. Would an octane booster like royal purple max work?
Tuned on 92. Had mixed results with octane booster getting rid of it. Its doesnt happen on every log, comes and goes. A bit that i left out is it started happening after i replaced the AC clutch and coil. However I also didnt do any 4th WOT logs until that time either
Been trying to figure this out for a couple months now so figured I'd see if anyone has had the same problem. Tuner(Alan at Edge) is pretty sure it's false knock but I can't seem to find the source, and Ive gone over the whole bay without pulling the intake manifold. It typically peaks at 2.1...
I know some companies make undersized bearings. I know Kings does. Could get some of those and give them a shot. I believe you can buy them on Edge Autosport as well
