    Gregg's street/track genpu

Definitely man, you've got a ton of good info on there, I gave it a quick scan through but I'm going to have check it out again and take some notes Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you do a little write-up on brake ducting on there?

    Gregg's street/track genpu

Just a few days after visiting the track for the first time, I found a little puddle underneath the car, turns out one of my rear shocks had had enough and decided to check out. At 95k miles, it was probably about due, so I chose to refresh the suspension all around with some KW V3's, camber...

    KW V3 Installed

Sorry to be that guy who shows up to a thread 3 years late, but I want to be certain I'm doing this correctly. I want to go ahead and drill out just enough of the threaded part of the pillowball nut that I can fit a 9mm socket inside to tighten it down, correct? And should I try to squirt some...

Aftermarket crash bar and car insurance

+20hp over stock sounds very nice, that's a significant increase. And the anodizing is a nice option. Cp-e dyno shows a +10hp gain

Aftermarket crash bar and car insurance

Have you got any info on the ETS vs. Corksport TMIC? Honestly I'd only heard of the corksport one until now, wasn't aware there were other options.

    street car gone road race

T Thanks for the detailed response, it's very helpful. I've just installed camber/toe arms and coilovers on the rear, took it to a parking lot and for the first ever the rear broke loose and I spun, it was very surprising as I've never experienced anything but plowing. I'll have to get some...

    street car gone road race

What exactly do you mean by this, you're inducing lift-off oversteer by quickly lifting mid-corner? Do you have to get back on the throttle to keep from spinning out, and how do you steer by braking? And how would you "safely" lift if you take a corner too hot?

    Ms3 genpu camber arm help

Weird, mine are all definitely the same size. Guess I'll have to grab a new sawzall blade tomorrow and try to shorten it up

    Ms3 genpu camber arm help

I am in the process of installing some nice new coilovers on my 2012 speed3, and decided to start on the passenger rear corner. I've found that the inboard camber arm is a huuuge pain. There's a dust shield the bolt runs into while backing out; the only way to get it out involved seriously...

    street car gone road race

That's good to hear! I'll have to check out your brake ducting. And I'd definitely be interested to see how much of a difference an aftermarket mesh grill would make.

    street car gone road race

Jeez that oil cooler is huge! Question, is an upgraded TMIC going to have significantly higher BAT' s while in motion than a FMIC setup? I'm new to modding car's, I was under the impression the tmic heat soaked like crazy while sitting still, making it less than ideal for getting off the line...

    Everything Motorcycle

Yeah I don't get the point of a keyless tank cap, seems like a good way for people to mess with your bike. Maybe the key was lost/ignition punched out in a theft, and it was cheaper to just get a new ignition rather than ignition+ matching gas cap?

    2008 MS3 running hot

None so far, just want to be prepared for track use. I've only done one HPDE, but really didn't consider the risk of overheating and didn't monitor coolant temps. I've ordered a Koyo radiator and jbr oil cooler, but they won't arrive before an upcoming weekend at mid-ohio.

    2008 MS3 running hot

Any further tips on maximizing cooling on the stock radiator? I ordered a Koyo radiator but due to covid it'll be months before arriving, and I've got some time on track coming up. Just run the heat on full blast? And should I stick with fl22 or is there anything better?

    Dummies guide to suspension question

Thanks for the help fellas, you're all very knowledgeable! I've already got a set of re71r's (stock wheels) and some hawk hp+ pads. In addition to the suspension, I also plan on getting a koyo radiator and an oil cooler so my engine can live a long and happy life. Beyond that, my lack of...

    Dummies guide to suspension question

What about supporting parts for coilovers? Seems like I'll need adjustable sway bar endlinks front and rear, camber plate up front, and adjustable camber arm in the rear. Is there more, or anything else that should be replaced while I'm at it? (Already have a rear sway bar) Any suggestions on...

    Dummies guide to suspension question

Yeah, I might just end up going with the KW v3's; every coilover option that gets suggested seems to have avid fans, as well as people who hate them and think they're trash. The exception being the KW's, other than their price I have not run across a negative review for them. One guy on a local...

    Dummies guide to suspension question

I may not end up going with the corksports, as I've heard some good and some bad regarding quality. Mostly just wondering if their spring rates (7k front, 8.5k rear) are reasonable and will handle well on track, as almost all other coilovers I've found use softer rear springs than up front.
