    Building for the road course...again

Fuck Wiseco for real. My machine shop is still closed. Been a month. Not sure when he’s returning. Not sure if I’m gonna have an engine for 2026 and running another season on this oem long block is so fucking boring

Sitting here unsure if I’ll have an engine for the 2026 season. I am still very salty at Wiseco. Their bullshit cost me a lot more than just the pistons they sent me. This has fucked me up bad. Much anger. Fuck Wiseco. I hope a Chinese company buys them and changes the name. Fuckers.

Went to try some helmets on saturday since mine is expired now. I want a snell2025 of course. Budget up to ~$800cad. It’s more difficult than you’d think lol. Took a look at these guys The racequip looks the coolest and fit well but it was snell2020. Retail price $1100 they offered it to me for...

This is the current state for both of my buddies tracking their Hyundais. Both cars have no shortage of upgraded turbo/power mods but you want a good Coilover? Too bad. I’m at the point where I’m chasing tenths so any gain is huge. Based on the conversation with the suspension engineer the...

Absolutely. Dude definitely shared some good knowledge. I don’t know that I would expect this level of support for just anyone. It should be a competitive advantage from me. Even half a second gained here would be massive

I just applied for a sponsorship with them a few months ago and they accepted me. This was their first hook up for me lol. I got a guy over there I contact and he sets everything up. I am very new to this level of support. If they make a 323 coilover they can definitely customize it

I was very impressed just in the fact that the dude took over an hour to talk to me and just go over everything. His first question was a qualifying question before we got started, "do you know how the damper adjustment knob/needle valve works?" i was like 90% correct. After that, he went full...

Spoke with the suspension engineer today. Over 1 hour long phone call. I was impressed by him showing genuine interest and care. He was asking questions which seemed to be correct in direction. He actually even watched my videos and made comments on exactly the same corners I was planning to...

So I have a meeting set for Monday with the suspension engineer guy over at fortune auto. Thats pretty cool. We’re going to discuss my setup and what we should try. Maybe they have a secret sauce profile for me already I’m not sure. It’s cool that the company is willing to take the time to...

yea they seem to move just fine but i can feel the grit in there. Movement isnt the smoothest? IDK its probably just fine. I guess ill go with the less expensive rebuild option since all the "accessories" seem to be in good shape

That bearing basically prevents coil bind. I’ve had coil bind before on cheap Coilovers back on my Hyundai veloster years ago. It’s basically just noise when turning at low speeds. Step one will be to see if I can remove the bearing nicely without damaging the mount. On fortune autos...

That bearing sits at the top of the spring. You can see the blue in the pictures. Below the camber plate. That is the radial mount I believe. I found the timken version of that bearing it’s $36 for a 2 pack on Amazon Or $32 for a pair of skf bearings off Amazon

Rear suspension done on monday. Was honestly a piece of cake. Not sure why I was crying before. Took maybe 2 hours including moving stuff around and stopping to yap with a neighbor for a bit We have a very aggressive rake right now lol. I bet the car will rotate like hell Was frosty today...

Browsing the YouTube today I came across this video series a local competitor did. He hired a camera guy/crew to do the filming and editing and he must’ve spent a few bucks cause the quality is actually pretty high. I’d love to do my own series next season but it’ll be a lot more ghetto since...

I’ve got an impact gun of course but there’s no way to get it to that rear lower bolt. It’s just way too tight in there. An impact wrench would be cool but they are usually not that torque heavy? Idk. Weather this weekend is junk. Cold and snow/rain so this is gonna suck. Thinking I’ll...

    Building for the road course...again

There is the lower strut bolt in the rear of civic. Some how some way it just ends up so fucking tight it’s a nightmare to remove. I’ve done this 2 or 3 times now and those lower bolts always suck. I just need to get this shit done and stop crying about it. This weekends mostly a write off...

same BS as the speed, divorced rear so theres some fucking around required back there. I dont remember exactly why now but there is one part of the install thats a major pain in the ass. I guess i just need to get it done One of my OEM rear springs is broken as well so thats annoying. Not that...

Realizing I need to remove my Coilovers and ship those off to be rebuilt. Part of my sponsorship deal. I’m way too lazy though lol front is dead easy rear is a pain in the ass and I just don’t wanna but I really should. This setup has seen 4 seasons now totaling in 51 events plus whatever...
