    AWD question

There's two reasons the lights came on. 1.) You disconnected a sensor so it set a DTC 2.) You pulled the fuse for the ABS module causing a break in the communication network. If the AWD is part time (meaning unless there's wheel slip or turning) it shouldn't be locked and operational. You'd...

    Bought not Built

Good stuff! The hood vents do make a difference. You might not be able to tell being that summer is basically over.

Are you sure you want to reuse the flywheel? If it chipped in the first place then it could be a defective ring gear in terms of metal casting. Or would there be some kind of burr on the starter gear that caused it to break?

Does he have any experience with HPTuners and Megasquirt?

    Side exhausts

I'm not sure why you did this but to each their own. I would suggest elongating the pipe out of the bumper. Even with the plate on the outside of it, it looks like it will still melt the bumper due to heat.

You'd probably wanna do an exhaust gas test on the cooling system if you suspect the head gasket.

The compressor size doesn't exactly matter. You'll be turning the pressure down for a leak test anyways. Unless there is some massive leak where air will be pissing out then it shouldn't kick on. Are you sure it just isn't boiling out or leaking somewhere you can't see?

P0300 on Cold Start, P0456 Then Stalls

Check the purge solenoid. Disconnect it's electrical connector and then remove the line from the tank to the purge solenoid. Run the engine and if you can feel a small pull of vacuum coming from it then it's not fully sealed when closed. A leak can be internal in a system and not show evidence...

Pressing out new bushing on new control arms

Would torching the stock rubber bushing work to soften the rubber and make it easier to remove?

You know what you've gotta do. Go buy a GT3RS and totally beat the living shit out of it on the track. Make 10+ second faster lap times than the other Porsches. Or rent one and do it out of spite.

What is it with Porsche drivers and not moving over? Had a guy in an old 911 flag me by on a straight then proceeded to speed up right before the next turn where I gained on him again. He kept holding me back from better lap times.

I'm not sure if the ECU is reading voltage, amperage, or both. You could datalog to see which PIDs are being monitored by the ECU. The reason for the capacitor suggestion is that it will keep the 12V supply side at a higher reading as there is more voltage readily available. That way when the...

The capacitor would store extra voltage so there wouldn't be a sudden drop. It could help. They aren't very expensive

What about installing an inline capacitor for the 12V feed to the throttle body? That way it's voltage supply stays steady and it doesn't drop too much?

Couple things. Check the wiring itself for the crank sensor to the ECU. Make sure there isn't any damage on the harness anywhere. Take a log of the fuel trims now, then change your oil. If the trims go leaner then before, you could have a leaking HPFP into the crankcase causing the oil to...

The differential could definitely be going out. Is it limited slip? If so is it viscous or mechanical?

    Well I fucked up...

That's awesome. When I got my used engine from a junkyard it turned out to have auto tech HPFP internals.
