I read the U-Haul doc forward facing was more of a recommendation to ensure proper loading. Airbags wouldn't hurt but aren't necessary. If you get it loaded right it shouldn't sag much they would be more to prevent bottoming out over bumps I'm going to put spring spacers in the rear of our...

    Building for the road course...again

I just looked at U-Haul's website the trailer has an empty tongue weight if 750 lbs so I er the 700 lb rating of the tahoe

    Building for the road course...again

If you exceed the tongue weight rating on the tow vehicle it is going to be sketchy as shit around fast bends. Regardless of the squat you are loading the rear end in excess of what it is designed for. In your case a rough estimate of triple the rating. You need to find a shorter trailer to...

    Building for the road course...again

Stiffer springs dont make it ok to exceed the tongue weight rating. There is a lot more structure in the back of the car than just the springs and ride height

    Building for the road course...again

Backing the car on is no more difficult than backing it off Regardless of the springs you really don't want to be over the tongue weight rating on the car

    Building for the road course...again

Stock the car weighs 2800 lbs and has a 60/40 weigh balance. 1680 lbs of car are in front of the trailer wheels plus the weight of the trailer A trailer should be loaded pretty balanced with just enough extra weight shifted forward to approach the tongue capacity of the tow vehicle. For...

A blizzard is an inconvenience if you are able to keep your heat running and your roof doesn't collapse At our old house we had a plastic shed (never again) and I would have to knock snow off of it before it got to a foot or it would start to bow Oddly enough I feel like blizzards are worse...

    Building for the road course...again

Should be close to 60/40 so there is a chance backwards works. Shorter rear overhang might be the killer Though if it does push it too far back you could load the trunk with tools and spares to bring the weight center closer to the truck
  19. Easter Bunny

    Building for the road course...again

You could try loading the car backwards but that would likely be too far in the other direction Can't you just put springs from a 2500 on the truck
