(Copied from my FB post to here) I look forward to the annual Midwest Meet with all my car friends every year. This year attendance was a bit disappointing, but I want to say a huge thanks to the few who made it out. I still had a ton of fun. Took the number 1 spot in the day for karting...

Engine Stand - Where do the bolts go?

Should I do the math? I can, but I can tell you it will say its more than fine with a large factor of safety. The most likely part to see failure there is the aluminum block threads (which can also hold the weight just fine)

Yeah going on your shifter and not the stock one was somewhat of a guessing game. I have had people just put a small something under it to "adjust" height. a small piece of dowel to the length they want or something like that. Doesent really matter what, just something to space the threads at...

I have to say, this is all pretty impressive work, and your documentation is the kinda stuff that this forum needs. Good work. Now I want to go see if I can save/rebuild my fire motor just to do it from the ground up by hand like this.

    Tired of my car already...

Speed was great in the snow. Slap the snow tires on it and have at it! I drove my speed year round and unless there was like 8" or more snow on the roads, then I took the jeep. A good spray wash every other week or so kept the rust off mine just fine.

    Tired of my car already...

The jeeps are fun. We have owned 2 wranglers, and as long as you understand the compromises that come with owning one, they are awesome. (Dont expect Cadillac ride comfort or anything, and 20 mpg on a the highway if you have the Rubicon unlimited) My wife just sent me a thing she wants to do...
