No cooling issues after driving over 3 hours to and fro with 7 autocross runs.
Did accrue some damage from the one cone I hit today. Bent the large plate up and can see cone mark after. The last autocross for the season is tomorrow so if I don’t get anymore damage I’ll probably self-tap it...
It’s been years since I did a bsd on my car and dropped the pan. Just make sure the oil pan is clean and follow the rtv instructions. The oil pan didn’t go back in smoothly. Maybe the timing cover was in the way a bit. I remember popping the oil pan into place.
It does attach to the the subframe at 4 points but it’s not completely sealed in the rear. There are spacers that connect between the tray and the radiator support so there is a small gap between the radiator and tray (can be seen in pics). Perhaps that small gap under the radiator allows air...
Little update. Looks like the intake settled a bit. I put a little rubber sticky thing on the intake to prevent rubbing but now it looks it doesn’t touch at all. Probably wait a bit before removing the pad.

Northern Illinois. Autobahn Country Club and Blackhawk Farms have hosted in the past year. Tri-State Sports Car Council (Illinois,Wisconsin and Indiana) started doing them last year. I think Chicago Scca may hold events but not entirely sure.
In the midwest a few groups host events like this on a section of a road course and you don’t have work assignments. They call it TrackCross. They’re fun. Faster speeds than an autocross without destroying your car like a hpde.
I noticed a pressure release when I was checking the trans fluid after noticing a leaky shift shaft seal. Which was odd because I change my trans fluid ~25k. So it looks like it doesn’t take much for the trans breather to get gummed up. I just replaced with a new valve breather when I...
