No name brand Ebay and Amazon parts

One of the better no name amazon purchases I just remembered was an OBD extender I bought about 6 years ago. At the time I could only find one, but now there are a ton offered. Less than $10. The one I grabbed is a flat ribbon style OBD extender. 3 feet in length. I can still use my storage...

    Necessity to clean intake manifold/valves

I’d love to see the valves. Just seeing the uneven build up on my valves Twas crazy. I couldn’t image any cleaner flowing evenly over the valves thru a vacuum hose. Cleaning valves is one of those jobs when you do it your like why didn’t I do it sooner. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The HF gravity gun can be finicky. It may be best to slow feed the walnut so it doesn’t jam. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Necessity to clean intake manifold/valves

Yeah, pretty sure it’s not listed as a service item anywhere. Just follow the steps in the many tutorials out there. I used brake clean to make sure the valves were closed. If your that concerned about anything getting in the cylinder you can pop a plug and take a look see. It’s time...

No name brand Ebay and Amazon parts

I bought a M2 test pipe off amazon. It’s held up but I still don’t feel comfortable buying car parts off eBay/amazon. I hate worrying about shit breaking and I feel like buying Chinese knock off shit is just a ticking time bomb.

Valve Cleaning, How To Do It and Why?

Spring is here and about to clean my valves at 120k. Last time I had the manifold off the valve stems had some hellacious carbon up on them. Any other way to find TDC besides turning the crank by hand? In gear and spin a wheel?

If you want to save on shipping become a 7th gear member. Partial joke, but if you plan on buy8ng other CS products it’s worth the additional cost.

    thespeedline.com genpu hood strut kit

Once you go hood strut it’s hard to go back. Really makes a difference and frees up working around the hood prop. With that, I’ve found that when the struts age and in below 0 temps the strut won’t stay up. I’d keep the hood prop installed if anyone sees negative temps.

    Necessity to clean intake manifold/valves

Plan on doing it in the next couple weeks. Picked up the CS tool on sale a few months back, so like @Raider; said it looks like a quality piece that should make the job a lil easier. Car is at 118k and has never had valves cleaned. Only plan on doing it once. Car still feels good so it’ll...

Damond Motorsports Caliper bushings long term review and abuse

During the summer if I was swapping pads I would re-grease the slide pins. Maybe once a month swapping pads for track days. Didn’t need to, pins always slide out with lube on them but would clean the pins and re-grease since I had them apart. I don’t think I’ve re-greased the pins since...
