  2. Idiot has problem uploading video, please help.

I just use youtube... I think that is the easiest and best way to go to share on forums and other places. If you don't want the video public, just upload as an "unlisted" video. Anyone can see it, but they need the link, and will work fine if you link it on here.
  3. Tell me the difference here

Color sadly doesn't mean anything. One time I used whatever was same color in my old miata and soon after it started to create this shitty brown solid stuff. FL-22 is a P-OAT (phosphate, organic acid technology). Almost all "asian" vehicles use this. What you posted in the OP should be fine...

Using RaceRender? As I understand it, having a brake OBD PID is very rare and RR now uses gps accel data to calculate a "brake" field of sorts. Unless you have a good external gps (10+ hz), this will probably be garbage data. TPS can give weird results as it's not linear vs accel pedal...
  5. Best all seasons for straight line grip?

Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ may be your best bet. A little pricey but 40k warranty iirc so in long run probably similar cost to summers. This is what I’m planning on getting for the ST as a compromise set. I think dsw06 is supposed to be better in snow but that’s it.
  6. My Ongoing Mid-Life Crisis

I put his new belt on after I did the last bracket "fix". I've gone thru like 3 belts now, swapping in new ones to "test" after trying something. 2 more belts orderd and on the way.... lol.
  7. My Ongoing Mid-Life Crisis

I've made some progress, but shit still isn't quite right. I used a spacer to measure the distance between the head and main bracket to make sure the bracket was indeed "square". Turns out the bracket was ever so slightly tilted or cocked. Not unheard of for a water pump to throw this...
  8. BioBandit's 08 MS3

I used an OBD splitter at the dyno (for dyno rpm pickup)...and results were meh. Since my logging device was polling the ECU at a fast rate it just resulted no data for both devices every now and then. Now if you had 2 slow polling devices it might be OK, but in this case, both are trying to...

What camera is it? A lot of them are pretty crappy at night. If you get some weird results with the OBD splitter (and bluetooth obd is very slow)... you can just import the csv into racerender. The annoying part is you then have to sync up the video with the data.
  10. Introducing VersaTuner Lite, VersaTuner Free, and OBDLink SX support

Sounds like the lite version is more or less equivalent to what the AP provides out of the box now-- OTS tunes, or tunes from authorized pro tuners. (but way cheaper). Seems like more and more people tend to get their cars e-tuned, so it seems like a great option for those guys to save a few...

  12. My Ongoing Mid-Life Crisis

Bearing was my first thought too. But after watching lots of videos comparing to mine and the fact that water eliminated it, I'm pretty convinced it's likely the belt at this point. If the bearing was bad.... I don't see how a little squirt of water is going to change anything. Vs the belt...
  13. Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but definitely give AEM an honest look. I didn't even consider them a serious contender (maybe they were late to the game?), but the more i looked into, the more I like it. Haven't found a single thing I don't like about it yet. It's actually fairly...
  14. My Ongoing Mid-Life Crisis

I haz some sort of belt issue. I don't think it's huge, but I need to take a few things apart and figure out what's going on. Drove the car for a couple hours logging, hit around 5psi at 4k rpm and then backed out of it because it was running lean, but I did get to confirm that it is pulling...
  15. Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

Let us know what you decide on..... I just can't leave things alone and been thinking about a cheap system for the ST
  16. Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I have not ran either of those, but I looked into all of them very in-depth and recently installed the AEM kit. Really nice all around. I think overall these kits are very similar and all will do well with a good install the CMGS is kinda neat in how it learns the pump amperage or whatever...
  17. METHin around

When I had the DO kit on my speed, the pump just died randomly after about 1 year. Thankfully I was just spraying water with a small nozzle for safety and not tuned for it. No sort of real failsafe mechanism, so it was just on me to notice that something was up. This test was only E40 but it...
  18. My Ongoing Mid-Life Crisis

Guess I should update this for all your GM lovers. Finished hotside piping... was pretty tight with the aftermarket sway bar and stock PS cooler, coupler is a little pinched, but it all fits. Had some fitment issues with the cold side piping, the included TB coupler is only 3" long. Found a...
