So im going to get my car soon, the coil pack didnt fix it and now im pissed off that they wouldn't just swap the coils between cylinders like I originally suggested instead of buying a new one. Ill ask them to scan the car to tell me what cylinder is misfiring so at least I know if my scanner...

i reached out today because I have a rustproofing appointment on wednesday and ill need to take my car there. I should get it back tomorrow if its actually the coil pack thats causing the issue

Well my cars at the garage now so too late for that, I bought a cheap scanner that would show me individual misfires and it said 2,3 were missing but the garage said its cylinder 4 so im returning that scanner.

My compression tester is junk, as it gave my inconsistent readings so that's my bad for the numbers. As for the coil, that's pretty much what i've been thinking for the last couple weeks something to do w the spark getting weaker under load I should know monday if the coil fixes the problem or not

Well still gotta see if the coil actually does fix it, If i didn't get the appointment for today I was going to meet up with the speed that I swapped MAFs with and swap coils It would be awesome if it's just coils after thinking my engine was done for the last couple weeks

Mechanic texted me today he asked if he could get a new ignition coil for number 4, so he thinks its an ignition coil. Ill let you guys know next week if he was right

Ill just tell them ive changed spark plugs and replaced the cat also tested a different MAF Also I don't see why this issue would be the reason the PO would of sold it as its the first time this happened and it happened after 7k km of me driving it

Im not slamming onto the throttle It has to be gradual or it misses, the issue is directly correlated with calculated load, starts at 0.65 calculated load

Im not going WOT, the most I can go is 40% throttle then in misses Ive had one injector down before and my AFR were reading 29, i really don't know but its going to a garage friday, FINALLY, so hopefully thy find what's wrong

Im not that lean, my fuel trims are adding a crap ton of fuel if they weren't adding fuel it'd be much worse but the afr don't go over 15-16 from what i've noticed

Update: i haven't fixed it yet, no new leads or anything but I still think it might be coil related as they require more power as load increases and if they're worn they can't meet demands I want to get my hands on a scanner that reads individual cylinder misfire so i can see what...

Okay my bad, that part isn't oem. Honestly I doubt its that because I'd be getting a code. But there's nothing left to check besides leak down testing it.
