?? For seasoned tuners (re; hesitation)

More details are needed. "Nothing noteworthy in logs" - The type of activity you are referring to would surely be visible in logs. You should log the behavior with the following parameters and report back: APP Calculated Load IAT BAT Vehicle speed MAF Volts Boost pressure Throttle position...

    Sho's 2007 ms3 build

My apologies. I obviously was not clear in my post. I was asking if you'd experienced flutter with a lighter spring. I am surprised you never messed with the springs before. I actually researched using a lighter spring in my Corksport valve soon after I bought it because I recognized that it...

    Sho's 2007 ms3 build

If you didn't have any flutter issues with the lighter spring then I don't understand why you're using a heavier spring. All that will do is make drivability worse at part throttle conditions. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

    Sho's 2007 ms3 build

I see what he means. I just opened VT and I see the tables he is referring to. That could possibly work. Try the bypass valve spring though for real. I saw what bypass valve you are using in your signature. That is why I recommended trying a different spring. Did you ever try using a lighter...

    Sho's 2007 ms3 build

I've driven a lot of stock TB cars with this problem. It is more common than you realize. I don't know whether you can tune around it electronically by playing with the throttle mapping, but the fact that CS doesn't include such instructions leads me to believe it either isn't possible or...

    Oil Loss, PCV Replacement

I would do the compression test first. Sadly, losing a ringland is more common on these engines than losing a PCV valve.

Our Mazdaspeed Injector Pullers Are So Close, The frustration Is Already Melting Away!

You guys are awesome for making these. The CP-E ones are getting endangered and I've had to mail some back and forth as needed. I'll definitely be picking one up when they go on sale.

    CorkSports BIG Turbo. In Development!

He said "that don't suck". Some of us don't like having to program aux fueling controllers while running in Windows XP compatibility mode, in 640x480, and with tables that can't automatically scale IPW with RPM for you.

Autox Guys on KW V3 Coils

If you math it out using the sprung weight on each corner and wheel/spring motion ratios (NOTE: MR is expressed as wheel/spring in the equation...invert any "book" motion ratios as needed...most express as spring/wheel) following the equations in the link I posted above (also screenshotted...

Autox Guys on KW V3 Coils

Why not step up to a 600-650 lb/in spring in the rear so you can have flat ride? I run about a 13% frequency split front-to-rear in my car and it feels just about perfect at autocross speeds. http://www.optimumg.com/docs/Springs&Dampers_Tech_Tip_1.pdf

Autox Guys on KW V3 Coils

So let me get this straight, you don't even own KW V3's, and you're commenting on this thread...why? Shock tuning only affects the car's behavior during transitions. Shocks can only change the rate of weight transfer, they cannot actually change the amount of weight transferred. The amount of...

The essential "save your ass bag" thread

I don't have a save your ass bag. I have a save everyone's ass arsenal: Basic tool set (3/8" ratchet with 1/4" adapter, metric from 6 to 17 mm, cheapie set including screwdrivers and spark plug socket) 32 mm wrench (spill valve) All fluids 1/2" heater hose (in the event of PS leaks) 12V DC air...

Proven Parts List - Common Parts that don't suck

I bought the Delrin shift knob in the OP. Fits like shit, won't thread on properly. Contacted seller, said, "seems like your thread pitch is off", they sent me another one. Same shit. Get about 4-5 revolutions on and it feels like it's cross-threading and gets super stiff. If you take it off...

BNR S4 - Can not pass 24-25psi? Boost Issue...

That's not too bad. Mine was out by 5 mm in the middle from where they welded on the support tab in the back. And no, that is not a typo. What are the details of the intercooler you're using? Dimensions, rated horsepower, etc?

BNR S4 - Can not pass 24-25psi? Boost Issue...

I had the same problem with this manifold, which is installed on my current car. Did you have it milled? How did you fix it? No experience with ATP high flow cats clogging, but seen it plenty with other brands. Catalytic converters are not a good thing to have installed on these cars...

BNR S4 - Can not pass 24-25psi? Boost Issue...

Assuming no leaks, I can almost guarantee the problem is the catalytic converter. Punch it out and the problem should be solved. Where was the exhaust leak that you had?

Stumbling, hesitation, numb gas peddle, Fuel trims crazy, Lean, P2187.

Just saw this thread... I'm pretty sure the SV I ID'd as the fuel pressure issue was the end of that. Usually relief valves cause other problems and the car looks fine at WOT...AFR's are bang on. At this point I kinda just want to get my hands on the car and find out what is going on to cause...

    UOA's - Used Oil Reports - Let's See 'Em

Little update on how my engine is wearing. The motor probably had about 12k on it at the time I pulled the most recent sample. It burns oil like a mofo (I've been told Wiseco has a rep for this due to crappy OCR design), but static compression has gone up since I bought it 5-10 psi across the...
