Failed Corksport MS6 rear camber arm!

Do the balls in the sphericals move freely? It's been a while, but this isn't the first design/quality issue from Corksport we've seen.

Failed Corksport MS6 rear camber arm!

That's wild. It looks like it wasn't a press fit insert (no scraping of the built up corrosion as it pulled out), but if that's a weld joint between the tube and nut then there's very little reinforcement to it (and it failed).

    Exhaust cam shaft

The plate shouldn't be in when tightening or loosening the crank or cam gears without holding everything in place with wrenches. This happens pretty often.

Failed Corksport MS6 rear camber arm!

I can't tell if that sleeve is just pressed in, or if it's welded after assembly but damn - not good. Don't let the shop throw away the parts. I'd check the sphericals to see if they are crusty and hard to move - those things don't last on street cars and need to be checked often. They can...

    Need opinion

Possibly the pressure relief valve being taxed if the only thing you did was replace the sensor. There's at least one sensor known for reading low (causing high pressure), even though it is physically identical to stock. What sensor (by part number and brand) did you use, and what year is your...

Best Engine Oil - All Mod Levels

Those were on the old forum, and with non-synthetic. I ran that built motor (the high compression mill) ~90k miles before I rebuilt it. Last I looked at WalMart, they don't carry any of the non-synthetic stuff anymore, lol.

Convert MS6 Bilstein B6/B8 to Coilovers

I've been running this setup for the better part of 10 years. I'm using Bilstein B6 as the base for my coilover setup and have had them re-valved by FatCat Motorsports. The conversion is super easy - and allows you to run a standard 2.5" ID spring in the front so you can get any spring rate...

Question on Comprehensive and Collision Insurance Coverage

If you can afford to throw it away in the case of a loss, just go minimum required. I have specialty insurance for the MS6 (racecar), and no insurance for street driving at all. I'm covered for events, transportation to/from events, and at home in case something happens.

    Hello from New Zealand...

Congrats, and welcome. My wife and I will be visiting NZ in a few weeks! These cars are pretty simple creatures when you have the stock turbo. Tune, intake, HPFP internals, maybe downpipe.

Help with fuel pressure weirdness and theory

It should only take a couple key cycles to prime the system. You have something fucked up with the ITFP. I'd just get a new basket assembly from Mazda and drop it in. No fucking around with shitty aftermarket parts.

Help with fuel pressure weirdness and theory

Typically doesn't matter. My fuel system is plumbed without a check valve, so it does all drain back. It still hits 65psi with the priming pulse.

Help with fuel pressure weirdness and theory

So it was running, then when it hit 39psi it died? Meaning it was still running while declining like 60->50->40. The ITFP dead heads into the engine bay, no losses can occur up there unless it's leaking fuel externally. If the answer to the first question I asked is "Yes, it ran and then...

It's not really a build thread if it's already built, but here we go

Yeah, we had to balance it out with 2nd gear engagement so it didn't slip. We found that point just fiddling with it a few times.

It's not really a build thread if it's already built, but here we go

They're awful to clean. But man, they are incredibly light - just over 16lbs each for 18x12. That dropped 9lbs per wheel. We did some back to back testing with the rotas and litespeeds on the same course, and same day, and you can see the difference in the acceleration data. The main reason...
