    More Suck, Less Starve

That's not its main functionality, but it does pull from its internal reservoir before it will suck air. The real benefit is that if any part of it is touching fuel, it will pull it in without sucking air from the exposed areas. I think this video shows it better than the first one:

    More Suck, Less Starve

Yeah, the foam is compatible with gas, ethanol, and methanol. I picked them up from Speedway Motors.

    More Suck, Less Starve

It's a problem with both the MS3 and MS6 - fuel starve under various conditions. If you have a high powered drag car, you'll suck the basket dry. If you have lots of lateral grip, you'll starve the basket if you're running low on fuel. Either way, fuel starve is a problem for many of us...

    street car gone road race

Yeah, I'd love to, and I mapped out a full SM build to see if it could be competitive. I think it could, but it's a ton of work and cost. It's above the spend:engineering ratio I want to be at LOL. Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk

What would I design if I got an exocet...I mean a true clean sheet design. Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk

    street car gone road race

I'm ready to move on, but it's not a next platform sort of thing. I want to experience a different challenge in designing my own car and aero from scratch in an unlimited class. The 6 is phenomenal, it's a riot to drive and it's extremely capable. I feel like I'm at a point where there's very...

    MS3 Diff fluid?

    1) nearly identical, but with a PTO. The transfer case input shaft splines directly to the diff case. 2) no, same area sharing fluid. The transfer case (not a diff) is a totally separate unit. 3) n/a 4) depends on how you drive it. Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk

Throne for the Queen - Enclosed Trailer Build

Wasn't planning on it for the engine. The rules severely limit the engine build stuff, so it's pretty boring. There's some other stuff that I'm planning that will be far more interesting. With a backup car, I should have a lot more time to work on the 6 and actually document stuff. The new...

Throne for the Queen - Enclosed Trailer Build

Nah, but we did get a smaller car for it :) [The 6 is still here, just getting rebuilt a little differently after the latest engine failure.] Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk

Throne for the Queen - Enclosed Trailer Build

We just spent 8 nights in the hauler. 2 were in transit and 6 were on site. Everything performed really well. We have a few things to add for comfort, but it was soooooo nice to stay on site with ac AND be able to take hot showers. 2700 miles this trip! We picked up a 120V mini fridge, so...

Throne for the Queen - Enclosed Trailer Build

Maiden voyage update. It's not 100%, but it's functioning. The aft freshwater tank has a bloating problem (lol). I'm going to add another horizontal brace before we secure the wall. Otherwise, the plumbing inside the trailer is all good! The instant hot water heater works well after...

    She blew up on track…

My first built engine went 90k miles. It probably should have been rebuilt at 70k, but that didn't happen. Ring end gaps are a big concern in an engine that will see sustained high temp operation. Even the stock 2.3 has tight ring end gaps from the factory. Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk
