    Learn about COBB's SWAS-Disable Features (on 2010 Test-Mule)

If it works off the load limits as you say, then yeah that makes sense that it would be a problem for high power builds. Fortunately for me, with my low power levels, it hasn't been a problem yet. I am able to trigger it intentionally, but only when I'm getting on the power too early. On my...

Annnnd...traction (or lack thereof). How do we improve it?

You are talking about traction when launching a car from a stop right? In that case, motor mounts, soft compound tires with taller/softer sidewalls (drop to 17s or 16s), something to stiffen up the rear suspension (as previously suggested, airbags can work here). Also, if purely going in a...

    Learn about COBB's SWAS-Disable Features (on 2010 Test-Mule)

If you're triggering SWAS during cornering, doesn't that mean you are trying to get on the power too early?

    Cts-v brake conversion interest

Cheaper price is a good enough reason to want this. I share the same brake bias concerns as other people have mentioned. I suppose that will be easy to dispel if someone is actually able to test their car with these CTS-V calipers.

    Cts-v brake conversion interest

I'm not hating, this is an honest question. What would be the advantage of the CTS-V calipers over the Stoptech, Wilwood and Corksport calipers that are made specifically for the Speed3?

    Rear Sway Bars

Just doing my research on them. To keep it simple, I just have 3 questions... for now. What rear sway bar do you have? What setting do you run it on? How has it improved your driving experience?

What did you do to your ride today

Had to get a tire replaced because the screw that punctured the tire, was really close to the inside edge. That sucks. However the good news is that I am on the 4th map from @Jason@DizzyTuning and the car feels really strong on the highway. Will hopefully be able to get some datalogs soon now...

What did you do to your ride today

Got in the car, drove off the driveway and a couple of seconds after I got the tire pressure warning light. Drove the car back and got the keys to the wife's CX-5 and drove that to work instead. Looked like the left rear tire was flat, but didn't have time to check as I was already late for work.

Water Methanol Injection Kit - Crash Safety?

Learning a lot about the use of methanol in this thread. The methanol fuel safety guide was a good read as well. Thanks for the good info everyone. I'll try to summarize my findings regarding methanol so far: Methanol is more difficult to ignite than gasoline. (Something has to happen during a...

What did you do to your ride today

Flashed the 4th map from Jason and went for a drive on my lunch break. Car drives better and better on each new map.

    Wheel Thread

One of the benefits of owning a white car is that it looks good with almost any wheel color, especially bronze and gold. I would say get gold or hyper black rota grids.

AP and Corksport, no love lost

It's great if you're not getting any KR. I would still keep an eye on it though. When I had the Stage 2 e85 Flash Tune, I didn't have significant KR during my daily driving. But when I did the datalog to have them review it, I got KR close to 2 degrees. In their defense, they offered to tone...

Water Methanol Injection Kit - Crash Safety?

So installing water/methanol injection kits is one of the more "bang for the buck" mods that we can do to our cars. I'm curious about the potential dangers getting into an accident with a WMI kit installed. I'm going to use @Redline's installation as an example here. The WMI kit is installed at...

AP and Corksport, no love lost

I'm only seeing this thread now. I have the Corksport SRI specific maps saved on my computer. I got them through Cobb customer support. I emailed them asking about the maps which were no longer available on their website, the service rep found copies from their archives and emailed the maps to...

What did you do to your ride today

Last night, went out to get some datalogs for Jason. I'm on the 3rd map and haven't really been able to get on it until last night. There is a good amount of improvement compared to the 2nd map I got. Looking forward to progressing with the tune.

What did you do to your ride today

Last Saturday, had oil change and tire rotations done on the car. Tech said that my drive belt is wearing out and will soon need to be replaced.

    What Determines Highway Passing Power?

This thread also indirectly answers why the S2000 can have over 200 horsepower but with low torque. It's because Honda compensates for the low torque with a very high redline. Same thing for the RX-8.

    What Determines Highway Passing Power?

Based on Edge's answer awhile ago, I would say the answer to your question is that horsepower is derived from torque, so torque still determines your acceleration force/passing power.
