    New NEXEN N'FERA SUR4

Just curious how are the 245's going to fit on 7" wide wheels? Although the K1-TS look nice Tire Rack is running a sale on the K6R in 17x9 +45 which would work a lot better for 245's and they are 18lbs ea. and $139 each.

    HPFP O-rings

I have not purchased the "X" o-ring yet. I don't run much more than a couple gallons of E-85 in the warmer months for some octane margin and I don't tune for it. Not running higher concentrations and more often I have no reason to tear apart the pump yet for a refresh or remove black death...

    K04 CHRA Pictorial Disassembly

Excellent write up. What prompted the tear down of your turbo? Question, are there any consumables or other parts that can be replaced during this mini overhaul besides the Loctite 5127?

    Lets Talk About Brake Ducting

Unless someone can track down older pics the only o es currently on Mazda Motorsports website are one ones that fit the Miata.

You have a DC or AC/DC TIG machine? Pressure zones and obviously removal for northern winters.

    Lets Talk About Brake Ducting

Just out of curiosity what is the thickness of the OEM dust shield? If you have access to roll a couple beads on .060" 304 or put a couple slight bends in to stiffen it you should be good. If you're planning to burn a lip onto the edge to ensure cooling air goes through the disc and not by the...

    Lets Talk About Brake Ducting

Excellent. The nice thing about SCAT is you can flatten it a bit and the wire will hold its shape so you flatten it a bit between the LCA and axle to allow for adequate clearance and use Adel clamps to secure it to the LCA so it doesn't flop around.

    Lets Talk About Brake Ducting

High price aside there is a constantly thinning list of Gen 2 parts as well. There are others like it out there that cater to the experimental crowd so search around you might be able to find others with different stuff. The disc shroud in the pic on Mazdamotorsports for the Miata does provide...

    Lets Talk About Brake Ducting

I stumbled on this while surfing around Mazdamotorsports.com earlier today. Although the fog light bezel shown appears to be for the Miata it shouldn't be difficult to create a duct from fiberglass or form something from ABS. Brake Duct Kits for Gen2 Mazdspeed 3 & MX-5 (BTW, not cheap at near...

What did you do to your ride today

Check the VT section, there was a group buy going on that had hit enough folks to get a $100 discount.

I would say slightly more functionality and, yes, less clunky handheld. The upside is you're free to get a decent Bluetooth adapter and put Torque on your phone for monitoring or get a cheap 7" Windows tablet and you can log, monitor and tune. Yes, you can disable codes as needed. I know the...

Not really. However, @Bstrm; mentioned using mazdaedit maybe he can shed some more light on that one. Their website shows they support the Pu but likely doesn't have a huge following because Cobb used to be the biggest game in town.

I believe you'll need ATR or should you depart Cobb, VT can also disable them.

What code showed up when you read the codes? If the AP didn't install either go buy a cheap code reader or stop at a chain auto parts store and have them read it.

What did you do to your ride today

Copy. I didn't know if you had a specific reason for mixing them up like Konis up front and B8's in back because adjusting Koni rears look like a PITA. I'm on the fence between the Sports and B8's and have zero desire for coil overs. I don't plan to keep the car forever and I don't want to spend...

They are factory Ford parts. @Stockms3; did a good write up at the other place, there was a decent length thread about them. Part numbers: bearings: DV6Z-18198-C (made in Germany) top hats: CV6Z-18183-A (made in Italy) http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/showthread.php?p=3059046 BTW...

The newer design bearing from the Focus/Escape/Courier? If memory serves they were better and can had cheaper than Mazda's offering.

What did you do to your ride today

Good question. Checking and gapping as necessary at 7,500 mile intervals although slight overkill provides more than enough inspection opportunities to verify the electrodes are not worn excessively to require premature replacement. I've always misunderstood the reasoning behind changing high...
