Paint code for grey insert on front bumper?

When my Pu was repaired after a woman hit me in the right rear corner the body shop painted the rear insert as close of a match as they could find to the front insert. What they came up with was a BASF color, color code BASF MA725.30 ST. I've searched a couple times but had no luck verifying the...

Congrats to our Mazdaspeeds.org July 2016 Raffle Winners!

The luck will come. I normally have crummy luck in raffles but have had luck on my side for two items I needed (this one and VT at ENM).

Congrats to our Mazdaspeeds.org July 2016 Raffle Winners!

@Raider; This is better than Christmas. I only casually looked up the kit at the beginning of the raffle and it's loaded with way more goodies than I anticipated. Once the temps break it's time to get off my ass and get our two DD's looking good. Thanks again.

    How to: Gen2 Spoiler Fix

I found the same when I checked the nuts a few years ago when CWP_MS3 mentioned it on the other forum. Once you have the spoiler off you'll see the poor excuse for foam tape Mazda applied to help keep it from vibrating. Not only is it too thin but by now even the foam on 2013 models has dried...

    How to: Gen2 Spoiler Fix

So I finally got fed up of listening to the spoiler rattle while driving and closing the hatch. Here's a walk through on how to remove the spoiler apply foam seals and reinstall for rattle free bliss. Gather the following tools and supplies: pick or thin gasket scraper 10mm deep socket and...

What did you do to your ride today

Well, although vibration free there is one section of foam seal that I put on that's partially visible in daylight, didn't notice it last night. So the spoiler will be coming off and replacing the grey seal with a black one. Maybe this time I'll take a pic or two and create a how-to thread for...

Fixed my rattling spoiler. All the hardware was tight but the foam tape Mazda uses was thin, dry and didn't take up enough space. Hot Lowes on the way home for 3/4"x7/16" rubber weather seal. Annoying rattle fixed for good.

Congrats to our Mazdaspeeds.org July 2016 Raffle Winners!

Awesome and a big thanks to the boss (@Raider) for keeping the raffle going with great stuff!!! I now have no reason to let the finish of car degrade. All I need now is a day that's not 100* and no kid to keep an eye on.

I make it a point to give the MAF a squirt of electronic cleaner at every oil change. Even with a dry filter dirt will stick to it.

A nice knitted ball hat that cinches around the shaft would be nice in winter and would probably help when it's hot as hell out.

Nice. I had asked Ken about something similar a year or so ago but with deeper grooves so it wasn't a ball of hot fire in the summer. It's good to see it came out pretty sweet.

    Denso Iridium ITV20TT spark plugs

The porcelain was fine, the tip of the center electrode was gone on one and fell off on the third when I put down on the tool box. If you're able to zoom in on th epic you can see the tip on the 2nd and 4th (.027 & .026), however on the 1st and 3rd the small tip is missing opening the gap up to...

    Denso Iridium ITV20TT spark plugs

I'm certain the plug that was .042" when removed lost the iridium tip in the cylinder, not a pleasant thought. Don't get me wrong Denso makes some good plugs but I will avoid the TT series of iridium plugs going forward.

    Denso Iridium ITV20TT spark plugs

While changing plugs back to NGK's I was shocked to see the tips of the Denso ITV20TT plugs when removed. One had the iridium electrode almost completely gone and a .042" gap. The other three had the electrodes in place but the iridium tip fell off when placed on my toolbox. I haven't checked...

Amen. As long as you take care of you ride and stay ahead of regular maintenance mileage means little. Sure if your goal is a high resale value and you're not keeping it for a while then limit how much you drive. I'm very particular when it comes to vehicle maintenance and record keeping but...

I don't doubt it. Besides the change to a more aggressive pad I swapped the rotors because they looked like they have a constant layer of rust on 1/3 of the surface. I'll have to do some research and see if the brake bias valve is built into the ABS servo or a stand one unit.

What did you do to your ride today

Swapped out my rear brakes with new rotors, Hawk HP+ and hardware in the hopes of evening out the brake bias front to rear. Went to bed them in and the new pads barely scuffed the rotors. Did Mazda design the car with 70/30 or worse brake bias?
