    Big Turbo Reliability

Well and maybe a very slight increase in mpg as it will not be in boost at the lower rpms but that's about it.

    Big Turbo Reliability

I agree with Awa. If you don't plan to run extra fuel or a built motor you should stick to a smaller turbo than the s4 or 3076. They are 500hp capable basically and you would lose spool time and not need what it offers. My vote would be gtx2867 if you could afford it instead of the s3.

Keetz - Dreams to Reality 13 MS3 Diary

Good luck man! Hold the gas all the way to the floor and let it crank a few seconds. Do this two or three times before starting and it will help get oil to that amazing new turbo before it actually runs :)

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Nope it's just a regular phone picture lol It sits high right now but I am going to be welding the matching vband (that came with the turbo) onto the t3 to vband adapter and will bring it down about an inch and a bit closer to the block too

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

It is a Pulsar version of the gtx3576r .82 a/r and is vband inlet and outlet. The manifold is t3 so I have an adapter that goes from t3 to vband it helped raise the turbo a bit and vband is much easier to unhook.

So here is a sneak peak of some of what I have been up to..... It's so sexy and NSFW lol jk I wanted to powder coat my valve cover and intake manifold but decided to wait until everything is working and plumbed in correctly etc. :) @SyntheticAtmosphere I'm sure you'll love the top mount BT...

CPe safe seals vs CS tokay seals

My engine builder installed them the first time so I honestly don't know what they torqued them to. I would hope close to that spec. Needless to say I torqued them to 25ft lbs this time in case they had slightly over torqued them the first time around. Hopefully everything seals up well. This...

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Well because my builder said that's what he has used a lot and it seems to do a great job. I hope it doesn't bite me but he does build engines a lot

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Engine is back together for the most part but needing to do some of the "bolt on" type stuff. Made a crank pulley holding tool that I figured I would share. Kind of wild looking and rough since I didn't take time to clean it up yet but it worked flawlessly! It is made to set against the floor...

    Building Anna

I just done my vvt and I put a bolt in the pulley along with the timing pin and plate installed for the first 70ft lbs. Then marked the 90% mark and removed all the timing tools and finishes tightening the crank pulley bolt. I actually made a crank holding tool for doing this and it worked...

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

I double checked after final tq of my crank bolt. Bumped the crank against the timing pin and the cam plate slipped right in and crank pulley is on the 20th tooth with the crank position sensor. Everything seems right so I won't worry about it! Thanks for your help man I appreciate it!

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Well I am just double checking a few things but am not having much luck. One thing I looked into was the position of the vvt solenoid sprocket. Couldn't really find an answer on it as I didn't know the orientation of it before. Now I have installed everything and am wondering if it was wrong...

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Might just be that I strictly use my phone but I can't ever find stuff it seems. I have downloaded most of the shop manuals to my phone but it loads it sort of slow. Is there a method to which shop manuals (1,2,3,4,6 etc...) are for what purposes? I mean I assumed that info would've been in the...

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

I finally made some progress on my engine and got the head installed and torqued down. Small note- If you look closely the cross hatch is still good even at 30k miles!! (that's when you know your builder did a good job building it all)** Got the cam caps all installed and torqued to...
