    I Can Haz Evo???

The long term plan was to get the turbine housing and O2 housing ceramic coated. I don't know of anyone who makes a blanket that fits the stock frame stuff and they usually get brittle and flake apart after a while. Especially when heated to all hell for extended periods of time.

    I Can Haz Evo???

Hahaha I was waiting for you. Too tied up in this thing to go back now. I'm thinking I'm going to finish up some small stuff and put the car back together. Going to check spark plugs and see if I see any coolant on them, refill and burp the living hell out of the system to be 100% sure it's...

    I Can Haz Evo???

Pretty close. Like a little over an 1". It's not really an issue with heat, the stock radiator is pretty damn thick. I'm more concerned about keeping oil temps in check. I was seeing temps up to 250F yesterday and I've already got a larger cooler.

    EPIC CENTRAL NATOR MEET - SEPT 28-OCT 1, 2018 - SPEEDWAY, IN

I read the first 3 sentences. I AM SO FUCKING IN. Now to read the rest... Edit: Okay, all caught up. For those who haven't been there, Indy is an awesome city. Lots of good food and booze and there's plenty of things to do (besides hookers and blow). Oh and thank you to Johanna and everyone...

    I Can Haz Evo???

In other news I went back to Gingerman yesterday. Was really happy with the progress I made as a driver. I finally feel like my line is solid through 95% of the track and I spent a lot of time figuring out my braking zones and pushing deeper and deeper. Morning was raining and soaking but around...

Either. Both Alex and Justin do great work. Shoot both of them a message and see who can get you taken care of earliest.

Compression is fine. Get rid of that garbage OTS tune and get an e tune.

88mm = .020" overbore. It will add a good chunk of cost and time to machine. It's not going to give you any gains that you'd notice. The big determiner for if you should get it overbore to 88mm is if your PWC without machine work is over .005". If it's over .005" you'll get some piston slap on...

    I Can Haz Evo???

The pin has some small detent balls on the end of it that keep it from being able to fall out but it's pretty easy to pull. Plus the strap is huge so it's quick to grab. I'm not sure how hot it's getting as I haven't hooked my laptop up to it in the longest time but the factory water gauge in...

    I Can Haz Evo???

I'm sure I'll get around to it. All my of big concerns right now are safety (still need to buy some SFI shoes and a suit) and reliability stuff. Ideally it's nice to make it so things don't break but that's a bit optimistic so the second best option is to make them easy to fix.

As said, leave the head as is, just make sure valve lash is in spec and that the valves are sealing on the seats properly. Don't bother porting it, you risk hurting your low end torque. Stock headbolts get iffy around 500ish whp but you'd be hard pressed to get further than that on a stock...

    I Can Haz Evo???

The second clamp sealed it up so yay for the time being. Still going to move to an AN line in the future. Chasing leaks is no fun, especially when it's between run sessions. The rad is already sealed fairly nicely to the core support from the factory. As for the intercooler it can't really be...

    I Can Haz Evo???

Got my fire extinguisher setup installed today. Bought a 2.5lb bottle from H3R along with their billet tube mount. I'm super happy with where it's sitting, doesn't interfere with anything but very accessible. Unfortunately I'm still fighting with this leaking turbo coolant line. I threw some...

    Maisonvi's never ending build

Cool, I'll take a peek at their schedule later today and we can try and find a day that works for the 3 of us.

    Maisonvi's never ending build

I'll be at Gingerman 5/12 and 5/26 if you're interested Ken. I was just talking to Geoff yesterday about possibly going to Grattan sometime this summer as well.

    "Silver Demon v2" build

14k on a set of plugs for a car that's driven in an aggressive manor and not regularly doesn't sound out of the ordinary to me. I run cheapo copper NGK plugs in the evo, they usually last 3-4k miles before fouling but they're $2 a pop so I just keep a spare set on me every time I go to the...

    I Can Haz Evo???

Went to Gingerman again yesterday. Was happy that the weather was better that it was supposed to be. Unfortunately I cut my day short after half the sessions. The cables that hold up the front of my splitter both broke, twice. After the second time I decided to run without the splitter for the...

    I Can Haz Evo???

I was wondering that myself. It was a pan a friend loaned to me that he had laying around.
