Been a while since I updated this thread. Busy season has finally ended!
Finally got around to measuring the components and have determined the cause of failure was overheating and warping the head. Measuring corner to corner I can fit my 6 thousandths feeler gauge under my straight edge. So...
There is your exhaust leak. I bet if you replace the missing bolt everything will balance out. If it is a shit aftermarket paper-metal gasket you might have to replace the gasket, if you had one bolt back out you can bet that another may have as well.
My cousin had an exhaust leak similar to...
Well, It is broken... that much is clear.
High LTFT at Idle/cruising (under Vacuum) makes me and everyone else think of a vacuum leak, sure. However, we need to keep in mind that under boost you are going lean also. Normally if, lets say your boost tube is jacked up, then it can suck air in...
Took me a while to get the right email password configuration to access my account from the last GB purchase. I am Fortunate the system did not lock me out!

That is true and drilling taping a new hole in the timing cover would be a big pain in the ass and confusing to anyone who works on your engine in the future. Just was throwing ideas out there man.

I can see how frustrating it is to pay, in my...
I used get all worked up about smog and what not, But not anymore. There is a pretty good chunk of California that does not require smog. The parts that do are the ones completely over populated. I mean we have 6 Lane highways (one direction) completely filled with cars though all hours of the...
El Linko no worko, but wants to see!!!

Today I wired in a starter kill switch to bypass the VTCS sensor on the CX-7 project to pass SMOG. Started as a birds nest, but ended up looking halfway decent. Hope they don’t spot that CS turbo ;-)

I am building one and went with H series Rod bearings but ran into the same wall you did when it came to the mains. I ended up going with OEM for the mains. Following In @Sho’s footsteps and going with OEM Head studs with a 550-600 HP goal.
