    Lol. I was driving in downtown Chicago last week, and someone mistook me for their uber and got in the back seat while I was flashing a map. Somehow, I think that would be a much harder mistake to make with a stripped and caged evo.

    If you wait on replacement, plan on replacing the whole turbo, or at least fully rebuilding with new turbine and compressor wheel. When the compressor wheel gets screwed up, it's very likely to be out of balance as well- which does bad things to the turbine wheel shaft and journal bearing.

    If you want, I believe have some of these nuts laying around for a custom camber plate project, and I'd be happy to drill out and send to you. Just let me know the OD of the nut or the ID spherical bearing- I'm 99% sure what I have is identical to the corksport hardware.

    Sounds like you have a handle on the situation. You might be able to rig up a custom thinwall, 9mm hex socket- or drill out the unused thread so you can fit a normal socket in the ID of the nut (Matt Damond and I did this). This isn't the first time I've heard of this problem with the CS plates...

    What's the issue? Is OD of the strut attachment point to large for the spherical bearing in the plate? Spring issue?
