Rusted rear footwell Mazda 6 MPS

I had an issue where the water would weep back from the drain outlet and soak the foam seal at the firewall. I then applied a zip tie to force the water to form a drip before reaching the firewall. If the drain is working properly, it should not drain into the interior. If plugged, it can...

Rusted rear footwell Mazda 6 MPS

If you have a sunroof, it is possible a drain tube had plugged causing rainwater to leak into the car. Also possible is the A/C system leaking due to a plugged HVAC case drain. Check to see if water flows out the drain tube on the firewall or try clearing it by shoving a piece of wire up if...

Traction control light turns on after shifting and turns of

I dont think that would be a sign of a bad clutch. Bad clutch would be slippage or burnt smells. Sometimes shift smoothness can be affected too. Sounds to me like you might have a wheel sensor issue or possibly a wheel bearing going bad. The traction control and ABS are closely related systems...

    Fuse box removal

Main harness and Fuse box are an integrated single unit. Dealers wont do much when it comes to cutting and splicing.

    P0606 Nightmare.

If they are replacing the harness with the fuse box, then they will have to remove the dash harness with the main that runs to the fusebox iirc.

    Are you sitting comfortably? build

Do you want the good news or the bad news? Well, the good news is I have coming to me a 3bar MAP and adapter harness from CWT. I also have a Corksport group51 battery tray ordered to facilitate install of the 4" intake still in its box in the trunk. From this point I could add an S4 and a tune...

    The build begins

Turbocharging isnt about just adding a bigger turbo because you dont have the right type of fuel. You can do that, but it only works within a window. Choosing the right turbo for your requirements is all about efficiency. The right turbo will blow the doors off a wrong one. Here are some...

Driveshaft grenaded, is the tc done too?

With the front wheels off the ground, turn the output shaft of the Tcase. It should be smooth. If there is any grinding or crunchy action there is big trouble. Also feel for changes in how smooth it turns. If the vibes were short lived it is possible they came from the joint failure. You...

    I like Doritos

I was on that project in the early 2000s. I had gutted an 88 Thunderbird Turbocoupe. Rebuilt the 2.3L EFI turbo intercooled engine and was looking for a body. I was looking for a 74 Pinto or a MustangII. The hotrod scene has all the front suspension options for cheap. Sold all the...

    Clunking (not diff)

I dont think your 1-2 issues will be rectified by replacing the mount, these cars are cable shifted.

    Clunking (not diff)

Lift the trans lightly with a jack and a piece of wood, just enough to see the play in that transmission mount. Its bad. If that mount is bad also check the dogbone shaped mount at the back of the engine from underneath.

Wandering AFRs and crazy fuel trims at partial throttle

Although Im not a good log reader, I tried looking at the logs in the OP. I see your LTFT runs between 0 & -10. Although that isnt optimal and should be tightened up, its not grossly out of whack. Its bad, but not that bad. Have you spoken to your tuner? Your STFT do fluctuate a lot under...
