I ended up taking to my local shop where they did an excellent job helping me remove the pump. I couldn't get the last bolt (the one on the bottom) out and I didn't want to risk damage. They took care of it about an hour and put everything that I had taken out back in. Lesson learned - be more...

So quick update - Got 2 bolts out but the last one is stripped and I cannot get a good grip on it with pliers or vice grips. I read a few places that some guys used a Dremel to take the screw head off, then were able to remove the fuel pump and then the bolt. Obviously trying to avoid doing any...

I will let you know once I get my car back on the road. I stripped and broke one of the bolts from the fuel pump so I am fixing that today!

Based on what I have read yeah it is. A lot of people, myself included, are not fans of the reverse torx bolt.

That is what I am hoping for. I read somewhere that a couple guys had taken a dremel and sheered the top off, and were able ot remove the pump then full the screws out. I've got factory replacements on the way (delivery set for today) but am going to Fastenal to find a better replacement.

How were you able to get the broken bolts out?

Throughout my life I have had the pleasure of owning several bikes but my favorite was my 05 GSXR 750. I miss that bike all the time and would love to get back to riding some day soon. I don't know if that is a possibility as I have been putting a lot of money into my car but who knows!

I drained my tranny fluid (very carefully and with much excitement) and refilled it with that good stuff!

I finally got fully mounted by @JBR Installed the PMM and TMM after checking to make sure the RMM was still torqued. Went for a short drive and will go out again tomorrow before I check everything again. So much more to do as well!

So that also means it potentially may be less than the Gen2 lip.....nice!
