BNR S4 V3 Turbo Rebuilding Help

I've talked to Bryan at BNR about this when I bought my S2. I believe rebuild is $300-$400 dollars but it's been a couple years. As EB mentioned, just give them a call most of the time he will pick up. Super knowledgeable and really nice guy.

What did you do to your ride today

There is a thread here about best oils for this motor. That oil is a bit outside the range of what is typically used in this motor. I'm definitely not an oil expert but I've done my fair share of research in selecting oil for my built motor. This motor needs an oil that has a robust additive...

    Well its out!

Thanks Mauro! Your build thread is awesome. I need to find some time to get on my laptop and read through the whole thing. I do have a CS exhaust Manifold and I plan to run their intake manifold as well. I was planning on coating the exhaust manifold and have someone local that can do...

    Well its out!

@Mauro_Penguin Thanks for the reply and the warning about water incursion. I do need to spend some time sealing up the front end better. I did replace all the foam around the radiator with some foam pipe insulation and build those ducts but there's def a lot more I can do. Fortunately the...

No start in need of part

Have you looked at eBay? There are some really good salvage sites that specialize in performance Japanese cars. I see you are in the Midwest this place is near Chicago https://www.asolutionsauto.com/ Also I would check out https://541motorsports.com/ https://www.fattimotorworks.com/...

Have you actually done any used oil analysis on the 5w40? Is this an OEM motor or are you built? How are you using the car?

Ultimate Racing High-flow secondary cat worth it?

I'm thinking $125 plus shipping, I can make a post in the classifieds section. If you want to send me a message with your zip code I can figure out shipping and give you a total.

Ultimate Racing High-flow secondary cat worth it?

OP I've got an Ultimate racing resonated version mid pipe just sitting in my attic I've been meaning to sell. It probably has around 10,000 miles on and absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'd be willing to sell it for a lot less than it's listed new. If you are interested you'll have to...

    Well its out!

I don't believe I do. I made templates out of cardboard and used those to cut some aluminum plate with a jig saw. I attached them to the sides of the core support for the radiator. It's just a process of trial and error to get things to fit right against the bumper cover. I used some edge guard...

    Need advice on Catalytic Converter

NTK 24393 is primary 02 listed for the Gen2 on Rock Auto which is the one I'm currently running. It looks like the Gen 1 has a different part number for the primary 02. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/mazda,2013,3,2.3l+l4+turbocharged,1505571,exhaust+&+emission,oxygen+(o2)+sensor,5132

    Need advice on Catalytic Converter

OP if you do decide to go with an O2 sensor I would recommend the NGK/NTK brand. Also if you decide to swap the cat I would see if Magnaflow offers anything if you don't want to get the GESI. I would start with the O2 sensor though as Awa and EB mentioned.

    Well its out!

Well its been a min and I spent the Holiday shopping season irresponsibly spending money on parts for this money pit. On the bright side everyone needs a hobby right? I decided since I moved to FMIC last summer and the hood scoop was no longer functional I should do a thing.... I used...

    Hi, have you met Lilith?

Warranty was the big factor for me back in 2008-09 when I was buying a bunch of stuff for work. Milwaukee was 5 years and DeWalt was only 3. Also from my experience with Milwaukee warranty has been outstanding. Roku, I agree price point is a big consideration as well as intended use. Am I...

    Hi, have you met Lilith?

Yeah I'm super happy with it. I'm a bit of a Milwaukee tool whore and I have a bunch of M12 and M18 batteries so I just buy the bare tools at this point. When I knew I was pulling the motor I used that as an "excuse" to buy it. Oh and I saw you were doing push loc fittings, just looking at...
