What did you do to your ride today

Post a Photo of your Car as it Sits Right now!

Cleaned it up a bit. I need to do quite a bit of paint correction when my new pads and cream come in.

What did you do to your ride today

I replaced my CP-E 2 stage RMM with a Damond to complete the trilogy. The car is so much better now in all aspects. Vibration is significantly less and shifts are considerably smoother. I wish I would have done the swap a long time ago.

Just change it all at once? I have a problem.

Just discovered both of my rear Bilsteins are leaking. At least my new Damond RMM beats the hell out of the CP-E it replaced.

I can’t help with the coilovers, but you might want a stiffer rear sway bar than the CS. Even on the stiffest setting it’s too soft for me. I should have bought another JBR.

Just change it all at once? I have a problem.

With the Eibach springs I have t had any tire or alignment issues with the arms. I’ll be going in for another alignment soon since I’m back on summers. Fairly sure it will be within spec

Got some new rubber on the refreshed wheels. Went against the grain and got the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Sports. Had to grab a quick pic before the rain started coming.

Valve Cleaning, How To Do It and Why?

I definitely need to get it done. I should be off crutches in a couple weeks. Summer wheels are being dropped off for powder coat tomorrow. It’s probably going to have to wait until I put it up for the winter again I think. Today was the first time I’ve driven it since September. At least I...

Valve Cleaning, How To Do It and Why?

I’ve got 107k on the clock and have never done mine. Been dealing with the after effects from my motorcycle accident for almost two years now. Mazda only sees summer use and at this point it will never be done or I’ll find someone to pay to do it.

Just change it all at once? I have a problem.

I used the newer Focus top hats when I did my suspension. They are a little more robust than the Mazda version.

    Good Suspension Options?

That’s the way I went with mine. Not super low, but I’m quite happy with the shocks on these crappy roads.

What did you do to your ride today

Put some new Pirelli Sottozero 3s on today. Not as highly rated as my spent Altimax Arctic’s, but they have a higher speed rating and rate very well in other areas of Winter performance. My speed doesn’t really see snow anymore unless it’s by accident. Taking my OEM wheels to a friend for...

    Considering a Resonator Delete

I recently had a gasket fail between my resonated UR test pipe and OEM exhaust that caused a bit of a rumble. The drone was annoying as hell.

I mist drive too slow. I have yet to encounter the engine cutout from this. I guess I need to try harder.

Bang for Buck: Transmission Mount vs. Short Shift Kit

I've got solid shifter base bushings, CorkSport short shifter, Damond trans/pass. mounts, Maisonvi knob, OEM weight, and Ford fluid. It took a while, but I'm happy with the setup. There is some clutch chatter with the Damond trans mount, but I'm immune to it now.
