Me too. I just spent two weeks out of town while my car sat alone in the airport parking garage. My Kia Forte rental was a POS in the New Mexico heat. When we drove through the mountains on the way to El Paso I was wishing I had my car.
Not super noisy, but you will get some clutch chatter. Vibrations are actually better now that all three mounts have been swapped out. I'm very happy with the setup.
You guys really need to quit posting this stuff. I figure I'm done modding and y'all post stuff like this making me want to spend more money. I really need to buy a Winter vehicle before I get too crazy.
Got my mount and upgraded studs in today. There is a little more vibration at idle, but the 3k drone has actually smoothed out. No additional noise that I can detect. I only drove about 40 miles after install so I'll see how it settles.
I did not remove the balance shaft. I didn't get the 3k vibe until I installed the TMM. It's really noticeable on decel, but easy enough to avoid when cruising.
Damn near need ear plugs on the Harley. Don't want to wear them in the car too. I usually have the radio loud enough, but I've been considering the UR CBE.
Mount shipped so I'll know soon enough.
I had the CS metal under panel. It was nice, but a bit more cumbersome for maintenance since I always removed it for oil changes. I was dumb and left it on my other Mazda when I got rid of it.
After dumping $4100 into my wife's Harley last year, it' easy to believe Harley mechanics are well paid. When I buy another bike I'll be doing my own work.
Replaced my busted rear shock. Only did one since I plan on doing a full upgrade when it gets nice out again. The Mazda platform has been the worst at eating shocks. My last 3 ate three rear shocks. Hopefully, the replacement survives the rest of Winter.
I used a dremel with the reinforced metal cutting blade. I have since added a nice Milwaukee angle grinder to the tool collection. My only problem is I may some day get so mad that I cut the car into pieces.
