    Boost Leak

Yeah, the reason why I bought impact wrench and other tools and do not let some dumb ass to touch my car anymore.. Fix that VTCS - you cannot tune the car with 50% of intake runners closed all the time.

    Boost Leak

Where do you connect for boost leak test? What do you use as air source and what pressure were you able to build during test? Compression/leak tests? What map do you run? On second look, I'd put my money on what looks like disconnected wastegate.. WTF??!! That car REALLY needs good inspection...

Does anyone make shorter cables for AP? I really hate the size and weight of that coil hanging..

Intake valves after 60k - with OCC and EGR delete

Keeping EGR off also makes IM pulling much easier. You can borrow the scope from HF. How many mpg do you really miss? On average (25 mpg, 15k yearly, $2.50 pump), every 1 mpg equals $50-$55 per year.

Intake valves after 60k - with OCC and EGR delete

@Redline - if there was initial build-up from pre-meth years, then I doubt meth injection will do much or anything good. May be just open it up and check yourself? It's not that hard really.

Brakes making a squeaking and grinding noise.

Something similar happened to me once too, rear caliper. One pad worn down to metal while other was at 90% Root cause: sticking sliders. My guess is that shop used grease that made slider's rubber sleeve to expand.

How to restore your CX-7, Mazdaspeed3,/6 (or any car's) headlights with Meguiar's Restore kit

If you're asking me, then I used Mirka abralon pads (500/1000/2000) and Spray Max 2k Glamour High Gloss Clear coat (part USC-3680061)

Intake valves after 60k - with OCC and EGR delete

Couple weeks I've cleaned my intake valves, after ~60k miles from previous cleaning. Had EGR delete and OCC for all these 60k, but I think my old OCC sucked. Now I got DIY one, 5 good lbs of brass and copper and switched to CorkSport "check valve less" routing. Will keep an eye on this sucker...

How to restore your CX-7, Mazdaspeed3,/6 (or any car's) headlights with Meguiar's Restore kit

Let me brag about my work.. Not Meguiar's kit, but still.. Before, in process and after. Will see how they hold under Colorado UV levels.

A discussion on mitigating engine bay heat

Yeah, it's true, exhaust manifold can reach 650 C, glowing dark red. But downpipe is colder and it's over a couple layers of fiberglass wrap, so I think it will hold up.

    Need help, possible pcm needed?

From mighty Google.. Common Misdiagnoses Throttle or Pedal Position Sensor is replaced when the real problem is a poor connection or chafed wiring

What's the best BOV for our car

Yep, now I figured that out! Thanks for keeping up with me! Btw that's the article that I found useful: http://blog.perrinperformance.com/boost-control-systems-explained/

What's the best BOV for our car

So, at zero WGDC (or completely open wastegate) all exhaust gases are passed through wastegate without giving any energy to the turbo to add the airflow. Correct?

What's the best BOV for our car

I think you lost me completely.. Seriously, with WDGC = 0, what is the magic holy power charging compressor and "adding airflow"?

What's the best BOV for our car

Ok, correct me where I'm wrong, please. Assuming that we define "turbo is adding airflow" not by ear, but by when wastegate duty is >0. Intake manifold running on vacuum and turbo building the boost simultaneously - this is the scenario when BPV opens and air will just recirculate. Correct? So...

What's the best BOV for our car

So, again, how exactly do you know that "turbo is adding airflow"?
