    2007 Mazdaspeed3 P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire

Leak down test will give more information as to why the cylinder is losing compression. I do not think this step is necessary to diagnose why the miss-fire is happening yet, especially if this may cost more money for the OP. Based on the information provided as well as my experience, I am going...

    RPM and Speed bounce/boggles

What was the last thing you did on your car prior to this problem? From your log, my observations tell me your ECU is pulling a ton of fuel and your system is reporting extremely rich when you let off the gas. Your system is responding to it, but the readings are extreme for the conditions...

    2007 Mazdaspeed3 P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire

It could be, but wouldn't it be in the OPs interest to confirm that prior to diagnosing it as a completely failed engine? I understand that the engine is in a poor condition, but it doesn't necessarily indicate the engine will have a severe miss.

    2007 Mazdaspeed3 P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire

I am curious to understand why cylinder 2 is being reported as missing but the compression is lower on cylinder 3. Something doesn't sound right. Although its not ideal, I have seen these engines run well enough even with the low compression numbers in 1 cylinder. OP reported severe missfire...

    [SOLVED] P0202 Following Injector cleaning

Those orings look like they took a beating... I recommend you clean the bores of the injector holes on the fuel rail. Those bores do corrode and create a rough surface, specifically if the car is winter driven in Canada. In addition, I have a spare injector harness, assuming you live in GTA.

    deceleration is funny

We will do what we can to help you, but without data it makes it difficult for us to get a sense of what is happening. An O2 sensor can definitely cause the issues you are experiencing, do you know what the code number was?

Knock retard at partial throttle on the freeway

While I appreciate your concern for the data, this is a known condition for fuel economy purposes. Knock at light load is OK, and at times intentional.

    deceleration is funny

It could be fuel trims causing this behaviour. Do you have any way to monitor live data? (i.e. Cobb Accessport, live scanner, etc.) Are there any codes/ engine light on?

Cylinder 3 misfire & Awful Sound After

@OP, that damage is quite severe, and It looks like you have a handful of power mods and a tune. How long have you been on the latest tune? Were the injectors you replaced the originals on your engine? Did you monitor data after injector swap to make sure there wasn't knock?

Factory alarm going off multiple times a day

Hey, busy time in my life, I go missing at times. That is the connector. I was referring to disconnecting it from inside the car. You need to remove the plastic trims inside to get to it, but some cars are not accessible. I have not removed these on a Mazda 3 in the recent past, so I cant...

Factory alarm going off multiple times a day

I was referring to the harness connector, but I may have been thinking of a different vehicle haha. I actually think you should attempt to disconnect the connector from inside the car without removing the plastic housing from the metal car frame.

Cylinder 3 misfire & Awful Sound After

A leak down test will help you identify a damaged ringland. Did you monitor your engine logs after injector replacement? Do a leakdown test on the engine. I expect leakage in cyl 3.

Cylinder 3 misfire & Awful Sound After

I am wondering if during your injector replacement operation, there was debris that fell into the cylinder? For reference, in the Protege, there was a TSB for the copper screws holding the VTCS flaps on getting into the engine. This often resulted in bent electrode tips. Considering your...

Cylinder 3 misfire & Awful Sound After

If your piston could reach you plugs, it would also reach your head. The bent plug tip is far more likely due to something going through your engine, like a bolt or debris. Does the rattling get worse if you increase RPM? Did you replace the plug? Did you inspect inside the cylinders?

Factory alarm going off multiple times a day

Should be a connector on the rubber grommet. The release levers are on the top and bottom, hard to feel. I could be referring to the rear doors here, so maybe start with the rear doors as they are easier to access. and if possible, start with the doors that experienced the accidents.

Factory alarm going off multiple times a day

You can try by removing F57 in the passenger junction box (fusebox) which is labeled alarm, but it may disable other functions, including ignition in your car. The door latch mechanisms in the door may be shorting due to water ingress. Car is older and if something isnt sealing right, the...

Results with PCV set ups on OEM turbo

Thanks for the replies guys! My leak down test revealed that cylinder 1 has about 50% leakage and it looks like it is through the PCV system. All other cylinder are near perfect health. My research and guess would be a broken, seized or collapsed compression ring and/or ringland crack. I will...

[SOLVED] Misfire/Hesitation under slight load at highway cruising speeds

Seems like there are various symptoms that can cause this. First thing is look at your fuel pressure when you experience the problem. I am also experiencing a similar issue, but have found several factors that change the severity of the problem. Aftermarket ignition coils make the problem...
