I just looked up the turbo, any reason you wanted the IWG over an EWG?

Here's a little Mexico action with @Sho and I when he was down in my neck of the woods over the weekend. The difference between him FFS and me not seemed to make a huge difference. I have no clue what I was thinking on not flat foot shifting haha. Too bad we didn't have room or time for a couple...

Well @Need2pu dropped off my new slicks to me over the weekend :D. I gotta shave my calibers to get these bad boys to fit but shouldn't be that bad. I'm probably going to still use my QTPs till I can get more seat time and break these guys out when I have more experience. I also cleaned up my...

Update on my hatch: My car is scheduled to go to the body shop on the 26th. I didn't realize it would take that long to get my car in. I feel like another 2 weeks is going to kill me seeing my car like this. On the plus side, at least it's drivable. I talked to Enterprise about a rental today...

Hahah oh yeah there was a huge group of diesel trucks and a few subies watching. I'm sure someone cracked a joke about me but like you said it's a learning experience. I'd like to get down to 12s by the end of the season. A buddy of mine said my car has 11s in it but I need more seat time haha...

Yeah here's my tire that has a huge chunk missing. A couple of locals hooked me up. Bought 3 hardly used tires for 60 bucks and another knows someone who can mount and balances them for pretty cheap. I figured I'd swap the two back tires with the "new" ones and keep my Nt05s up front. Just so I...

So went to the drag strip on Friday, I'm too ashamed to post up my times here. Second time going to the strip and first time with over 400 whp so I guess I need to get used to it. Launching seemed fine, could use some practice in that area but I kept missing shifts which was why I did so bad...

I found a few, they seem to be in the 750 range which is about what an OEM costs from my estimate. I have no idea what the weight savings would be, all of the sites that I found don't list the weight. I just made the decision not to do it. I agree that it would look pretty ugly. Maybe if my car...

Not yet, I'm still up in the air. The gf thinks it'll look dumb which I half agree with considering my car is silver. I was waiting for the insurance company to contact me since I emailed them last week but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I tried to call today but no answer so I left a message.

Awesome built thread! Can't wait to see this thing in action. I was wondering the same thing that @Redline mentioned about an aftermarket PCV plate. They aren't super expensive (compared to what you spent on the motor) and with the motor being out and all, I'd say it would be worth it so you...

Haha all good man, I'd say it's still on topic. Could help out someone else if they are curious about those fittings for my 6th port ;). As for the stock block and a massive turbo...

Right, makes sense. I assume you've seen these threads but if not I was just reading them and thought they might help. http://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/diy-port-injection-set-up.2579/ http://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/where-do-you-buy-your-an-fuel-fittings.1588/

Ah gotcha, yeah I don't think so. I know @Need2pu was somewhere in the 600 range with this same 6th port setup so I'm not sure how much fuel you're planning on running but he didn't have any issues with that as far as I know.

Haha yeah two female ports on the quick connect fitting, one of them is plugged from summit but I presume you could add a fuel pressure gauge there if you wanted to. The second link I added with the two male connections, the NPT side mates to the quick connect and the AN to the hose end.

Good thing I kept the links to all this stuff in my spreadsheet haha Quick connect fitting: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-15120 AN to NPT fitting: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220646b/overview/ Hose end to go on AN to NPT fitting: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220706-b
