Agreed, they are definitely much better. I plan on writing up a full review after a few more miles on them. So far I am very happy I made the switch though.
NGK > Denso for sure. I usually pull mine out to check the gap at about 10k miles and then swap them out at 15k. Which I guess I need...
Didn't do anything TO the car today, but definitely FOR it...now my Speed can be a trailer queen enroute to being abused at places such as The Dragon, track, etc.
All tucked away at home...the driveway is starting to get cramped. Driveway addition happening ASAP.
I, too, can attest the the Damond mounts are much, much quieter inside the car compared to JBR. I put ~50 miles on my new Damond mounts yesterday and will be writing up a full review after a little more drive time. So far they have been fantastic.
Got the Damond mounts on today. Car is still on jackstands so that I can flush the brake fluid tomorrow, so no test drive yet. But, first impression is that so far there are just as much, if not more, vibrations than the JBRs. It was slightly quieter inside the cabin on cold start though...
I did this as well. I used bolts that I had already laying around, hence the use of spacers to secure the ECU. My intake is only 3", so if I had a bigger one I would just have to swap out the bolts for the additional clearance needed. Keeps the engine bay nice and clean with the ECU hidden too.
Yeah, I'm super excited for the mounts. I'm coming off of the JBR 80/88 trilogy so I'm hoping for the same level of performance with less vibes.
I plan on using the middle setting as well. I like a neutral feeling turn in and I think full stiff is just a touch too much oversteer based on...
Got my pre-Dragon goodies in today. Very excited to try out the Damond mounts. Can't believe I waited so long on the RSB.
Hoping to install it all this week!
Good stuff, thanks for sharing all that. We put the meth flow light and low level light in the same spot on the couple meth cars around here. Makes for a very clean install. The DM meth spacer makes a huge difference too. Much better than tapping a silicone hose or hard FMIC pipe.
I'll most...
Will do for sure. It's been a while since I've been on stock mounts so I won't be able to comment on the difference from stock to Damond, but I will be able to review the difference going from JBR 88/80 duro trilogy to Damond.
Just got my JBR trilogy sold, there are definitely people out there scooping up used JBR mounts.
Patiently waiting your results. My tax return should be here in a few days and I'll be ordering DM mounts as well. I'm getting excited seeing all the positive reviews from everyone who has...
Removed motor mounts yesterday and did some general maintenance in preparation for the Dragon. New mounts, sway bar, and brake flush on the agenda before April rolls around.
