    Low Boost on BNR S3

So I was doing a bit of reading this morning, and someone had mentioned the drop down menu for map sensors in versatune..... Apparently, versatune has a setting on one of the dashboard parameters, specifically intake manifold absolute pressure, that adjusts how it scales the map data while...

    Low Boost on BNR S3

I'm probably going to try pulling the harness and check it for high resistance. I doubt the sensor would work at all with the wrong pin out, but I'll check that too.

    Low Boost on BNR S3

Yes I reflashed the tune my tuner originally sent me, which has the scalars for the bosch 3 Bar (845). Those numbers (for Versatune) are: 8.35 - (additive), 65.78 - (base multiplier), 1 - (second multiplier).

    Low Boost on BNR S3

Interesting update. I got a new 3 Bar from JBR, installed it, reflashed the tune, and it's back to -2 psi engine off, peak of 9 psi. I trust my factory map sensor, it always read correctly with my k04, and I doubt I got two bad map sensors in a row. So 13 psi should be the number I'm actually...

    Low Boost on BNR S3

Interesting development. I swapped the stock map sensor back in, changing back to the stock map numbers in the tune as well. And now it reads -0.1 psi with the engine off, and peak boost of 13 psi. So I very well could be hitting spring pressure, and the map sensor was just reporting low.

    72mm Throttle Body...and it works

Definitely not an electrical engineer, but a battery is an electrochemical system, that's why it's affected. Chemical reactions typically happen slower at lower temperatures. A servo is an electromechanical system. The cold may thicken up the grease used in the gears, slowing it down, but...

    Low Boost on BNR S3

I forgot to take a picture of it, but I'm pretty sure it was the 0 281 002 845, I know for sure the last three (of the part number) were 845.

    Low Boost on BNR S3

My tuner and I have been discussing it. WGDC is zero'd out currently, but boost isn't even making it to spring pressure. EBCS was connected according to grimmspeeds instructions, and is currently bypassed. Map sensor is brand new from bitwise, and my tuner knows about it. The map sensor is...

    Low Boost on BNR S3

I recently installed a BNR S3 that I picked up from a member here, a JBR 3" intake, a Grimmspeed 3 port, 3 Bar Map with bitwise adapter, a DM OCC, and hpfp internals on my MS6. I'm getting tuned by a reputable e-tuner here. The thing will not make more than 9 psi of boost. Everyone would...

    Hesitation and Stutter

Is your hesitation while accelerating happening at a similar rpm everytime? For a while I had a similar problem, from 2500-3300, it would bog, and then all of sudden hit boost. But I had a P0016, which turned out to be an improperly timed intake cam. The symptoms sound similar, but the CEL's...

Built 5862 I Just Wanna Go Fast (Formerly Known as Mazdazilla's Build Thread Thingy)

Kind of sucks that you had to cut half of your shiny shift cable bracket out. At least that intake looks sweet. I'll have a 3 inch intake going in my car in the next couple of weeks, curious to see if I'll need to trim the bracket at all.

    Custom Shift Cable

That's interesting. It shouldn't stand any taller than the factory brackets. Must be the further forward placement of the one bracket plus the sharp corners. Are you planning on making a different one completely or modifying the one you already made?

    Custom Shift Cable

I figured with access to a shop you could just make one. It's two pieces of metal welded together. Now just throw some black primer on it. I'm really excited to see how it works out for you. Are you planning on shortening the throw at the transmission or at the shifter? I like the 30%...

    Super-Cheater K04

That sucks. I did the exact same thing to my stock K04 but with a nut from my new shift cable setup. Amazingly the thing still makes stock boost pressure, it just whistles while doing it. Gotta get that fixed this spring.

    Stock Height Suggestions

Being daily driven it would be way to impractical. A lowered car would never make it past the end of my driveway. And the monster truck look doesn't really bother me. Kind of reminds me of a rally car.

    Stock Height Suggestions

Not that anyone cares, but I did end up installing Bilsteins's all the way around with stock springs. It did not fix the sag issue. So my guess is that the rear springs are worn out, and the fronts aren't, for some reason. The back is quite bouncy. Now I'm considering either getting new OEM...

    Custom Shift Cable

The cables have been great, zero problems. I've made a few more length adjustments and it shifts pretty sweet now. It doesn't look like anyone has done much with getting brackets or a kit made. But if you need one I could probably get one whipped up for you. I never did get that mechanical...

    Stock Height Suggestions

Looking for suggestions. I'm looking to keep my car at stock ride height, while fixing the sagging rear end that it has. I'm thinking of getting some Bilstein B6's, HD's, whatever you want to call them, and keeping the stock springs. Is this a good idea? Has anyone done this? Also, do you...

    Custom Shift Cable

I ordered the High Efficiency, not Armor Core. But everything else is the same. I'm not even sure how much of a difference it would make, armor vs H.E.

    Timing off because RD Motorsports

Sounds like you know what you're doing. I didn't get the friction washers the first time, ended up doing the job twice to replace them, just to be sure.
