Need clutch. Main concern is pedal feel.

I considered SPEC Stage 3+ because they have a decent reputation, but they are just not rated for the torque that SB or ACT are on our cars, and it's most likely related to the lighter flywheels that come with SB & ACT. I have heard great things about the ACT clutches, but I still went with SB...

Mazdaspeed3 Rear Traction Bar from TB Performance!

Currently replenishing funds from the last round of parts. For now, I’ll just be over here holding a sign that says “Will work for traction bar.” Interested in the feedback though, even if I have to buy it at full price. :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah. I have to go to one specific Firestone because it’s the only one that has a lift that is capable of handling normal passenger vehicles that have even the slightest bit of lowering. It seems most Firestones are only equipped with monster truck lifts. [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using...

Just did 50 mile oil change. The smell of gas in the oil is nowhere near as bad as the first break in oil change, so the rings are seating! Also did a compression test... all 4 cylinders are rising! Things are looking good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Took the ol’ girl to 5,000 RPM for the first time. She liked it... and it felt good! I got a new DRL relay and it turns out that’s not what’s blowing my fog light fuses. So, it appears I’m going to be probing and checking electrical wires. I hate electrical! :/ Edit: Also took it to get my...

Mazdaspeed3 Rear Traction Bar from TB Performance!

At 1,000 RPM your steering wheel & ass vibrate. At 2,000 RPM every plastic trim in the car buzzes. At 3,000 RPM you begin to question if your spot welds will hold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’ll have 150-200 miles and 2 oil changes on it by then. I’m not too worried about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crank Keying Crank, Pulley and Spockets

That bolt hole being in the correct location serves several functional purposes including, but not limited to, knowing what degree my crank is at without putting screw drivers in my cylinders. An upside down crank pulley does not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was worried about a really bad rattling sound I was having as soon as I hit 3,000 RPM. I thought I had something wrong with the valvetrain. Turns out it was my Bosch windshield wiper blades. lol WTB new shock proof wiper blades! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

90% of me wants to "break in" the new engine on the drive out there... but then there's that 10% that's like "boy, you stupid?" lol I really want to go, though.

I didn’t rekey the pulley, I keyed a second one. I wanted it done right, and I had a second pulley. :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The South Bend clutch is already breaking in after only like 20 Miles. It’s WAY easier to push the pedal in, but it’s still an extremely low release point...

Need clutch. Main concern is pedal feel.

I got the SB S3 Endurance installed and it's like a 100 lb pedal that I have to mash all the way to the floor just to get it to release. It's REAL springy and REAL low. It also grabs literally the second you start to lift your foot. I don't know if it stays like this or if it just has to break...

Got the new crank pulley with the CORRECT key way cut, perfectly lined up at TDC with the 20th tooth. Also figured it was probably about time to change the cabin air filters (lol)... Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for... SHE’S ALIVE!!! She was VERY grumpy on the first start and...

Yep. And of course it’s Friday, so there isn’t shit I can do about it until Monday. Luckily I also have a spare crank pulley. They BETTER key this shit on demand Monday morning. I don’t want to hear sob stories about workloads or wait times. I’m relieved and pissed at the same time. I’m just...

Crank Keying Crank, Pulley and Spockets

Further fuck-up to add to the above cracked sprockets. The same shop that cracked the sprockets also apparently keyed the crank upside down and I just now noticed after a week of trying to figure out why my new built motor wouldn't start. The keyway should be at top dead center of cylinder 1/4...
