I need 4032 alloy pistons, how Mahle compare to Supertech?

Right now in my engine I have the SP63 provided Mahle 4032 alloy pistons. I directed one of my friends to them and got a set for his speed3, but now we need to build one more engine for another group member and we're wondering how the Supertech 4032 pistons compare to the Mahle ones. Are they...

    Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I'm kind of set to go with AEM V2 boost based. The system is relatively simple, they have 1 gallon tanks which is convenient for what I want to do, and so on.

    The blown motor resource thread

Around 80k... the car was also used for city short trips as part of the commuting, but the oil changes were religiously done at 5-6k miles.

    Stage1/Stage0 boost issues

No wastegate duty cycle in the logs? This is lower than the stock tune which will go up to load 1.65, that in the mid range meaning 14 so 16.5 PSI of boost depending on the altitude/baro and ambient temps.

    The blown motor resource thread

Recently we had a motor letting go out of the blue. There was absolutely no sign of it having any sort of issue, the engine was sounding well and the logs were showing everything was perfect. The owner did not open the engine yet, it's going to be a bit expensive. The engine let go during a...

Eonon head units with silver face (yes!!) for Mazdaspeed3 gen1

So I've been trolling Eonon for a few good years now about a front silver face for their units and finally someone from them managed to respond. They said that if I manage to get 10 people together who want an Eonon unit with a silver front face they will make it. We're two so far. If we're not...

    Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I tuned a guy in New Zeeland and he had an AEM controller. He had to replace it eventually because it was leaking inside. Once he replaced it the fuelling became more predictive and we managed to extract 400hp from his BNR S3 powered stock block, but to be honest these controllers which tend to...

    Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

Yeah, I think it's a bit too expensive for what I want, and I don't want any methanol tank in the trunk or anywhere in the cabin (indeed I could install my own tank though, but I want to order the whole kit as I want it and not mock up anything after).

    Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I am still thinking but most probably I will go with a Snow Performance stage2 (the 2.5 would be a similar product with the CM stage2, but I decided I don't want any gauges in the cabin this time). Stage1 is more of an on/off controller and I don't want that: it's hard to tune the MAF for it...

    Cooling Mist versus Snow Performance

I need a WMI kit for my CX7 and initially I wanted to get another Cooling Mist Stage2+CMGS as I have in my 3MPS. But the Cooling Mist site seems to be on its way out, Stratified doesn't list these kits any more but they list Snow Performance. The equivalent for what I have on my gen1 speed3...

    VVT and Big Turbos

I'm trying to make my cars a bit peppier down low by trying to spin the turbos a bit faster in those RPM intervals where they don't do anything or not much, like 2200-3000rpm. However, I ran into something that I'm not really familiar with and I don't want to experiment on these engines. When...

    734 AWHP and 9000 RPM Mazdaspeed6 Dragcar

@steve@versatune - what do you think? I know this is kind of untested territory but can this work?

    734 AWHP and 9000 RPM Mazdaspeed6 Dragcar

Yes, by default it allows you to tune up to the maximum values embedded into the ECU. But since a few years it allows you to override these values and I think the limit of the maximum values. By example you can tune past 4BAR of boost, past load 4, past 8k rpm, and so on. When they launched this...

    734 AWHP and 9000 RPM Mazdaspeed6 Dragcar

Versatuner will let you up these limits higher I think. I didn't try it but the software itself will allow you to override those limits at least in the calibration, not sure how these will work once flashed in.

Mazda 3 1.6 manual petrol 2004 power but won't start

If the dash gauges will got o the max and back then it's the battery. If they don't do that and it still doesn't turn over then usually it's the ground wire from the starter. You need to clean it up. This problem occurs mainly at the 3BKs manufactured prior to 2006, but sometimes you may see...

    Raider's P2187 on a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3

I'll just tell you what I did: found an used one, sent it to a fabricator to delete the VCTS, used a wire brush and cleaned it up and then I sprayed it with paint and like 2 layers of clearcoat, and then used some good paint sealant to keep it clean over time. I used silver because...

    Raider's P2187 on a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3

Log 2 was actually better, went up to 6.3k rpm in 4th right at the beginning and the AFRs were perfect. the vacuum the engine produces after letting off also indicates a healthy engine (at a first glance at least). However, I noticed that in several points in all these logs, when he lets the...

Why You Should Check Your Fuel Injectors

Oh, ok... however it looks like they weren't sealing properly. When I got my CP-e seals they suggested to add some silicone on them (I don't recall, I only remember I bought the exact one they mentioned).

Why You Should Check Your Fuel Injectors

What injector seals do you have? Get the CS or CP-e ones and you will never have to pull your injectors for the reason mentioned in the 1st post.
