On the second revision, car drives great. VC gasket is leaking again, not sure why since its pretty new - could be improper installation on my part, or it doesn't like the torque specs included with the racethetix VC bolts. New gasket is on the way. Also having issue popping the dipstick up a...

Corksport turbo for stock 2007 with 160k?

Definitely don't use a stock Cobb map from the AP, you can purchase an OTS map from Freektune that gives you a couple of revisions for a reduced price, and that will give you an experienced perspective on the data your car is sending.

Corksport turbo for stock 2007 with 160k?

Corksport doesn't tune, you can go with Purple Drank or Freektune for a very reasonable price, basically everyone except for the self-tuned folks use those two tuners. Take care of your maintenance items, i.e. have your injectors cleaned and new seals put in, look into maybe getting a HPFP...

    Building for the road course...again

Do these cars do well on E85 or a similar kick? Maybe nitrous or solid rocket boosters for that nudge out of the corner, but I would be loathe to ruin the Honda reliability.

Sent in my logs to Justin last night. Trims at idle are still whacky, saw as high as -11 LTFT right before pulling into the garage. Car feels fine, AFRs are good and the logs are good (aside from major wheel spin). Attaching my idle log here, just want to see if there is anything I can do or...

    Building for the road course...again

Is boosting really worth the hassle? Seems like it's such a solid car, you would just be adding more headaches for marginal gains.

Not the most exciting thread in existence, but its a huge milestone for me. Always wanted a FMIC car, and by golly I've got one now. Honestly surprised at how well the Gen 2 piping worked. Loaded on the new revision from Justin and took it for a little drive last night for ~15 miles, temps...

Idle issue/kr under 10+ psi boost

    That's probably not incorrect
  14. jdab555

Idle issue/kr under 10+ psi boost

15psi is target boost on a stock tune, +/- 1, that looks like a slight overboost. Have you done boost leak tests / checked your ebcs to make sure it isn't cracked?

Help with purchased 2007 Speed3 GT

The hood alone tells me it was probably modded - poorly. Haven't met a single speed owner yet that didn't thrash a car when that hood was present. I autocross with a guy that has self-tapping screws holding on his bumper and boost leaks to high heaven on his 3rd motor.

Been a little while - car's been doing fine, using the same amount of oil, no biggie (valve stem seals probably). It's taken me a little over 2 months to get a tracking number on the missing piece of my FMIC kit, specifically the BOV flange and connector. That dude has pissed me off to no...

    Engine Overheating/ Burning Oil

Without fail every time I do a coolant flush there is air trapped in the system that has to be patiently hunted out. If you replaced the turbo I assume you at least partially drained the coolant - get a vacuum bleeder / refiller from harbor freight or rent one from an autoparts store, and redo...

Followup - beat my rival in the autocross. Car did great - asphalt temperature was a little low so my RE71rs weren't super happy, but I beat him by a solid .6 seconds and came in first in my class. Definitely need to work on how I can tighten up the car, definitely didn't feel balanced...
