    My point is that the flow balance will be completely different under pressure. Frankly with a big enough plenum there should be very minimal variation

    Is important to note that flow under pressure vs under vacuum is going to behave very differently. Flow bench data is nice to have but I wouldn't use it to shit on one manifold over another.

    Piston rings are going to do whatever the hell they want once you fire the motor. People worry too much about where the gaps line up They would spin differently, they are different materials and profiles and subject to different degrees of loading from combustion Check the bore size
