I'd glance at the forum from time to time and was confused for a while why Sharks kept replying to this thread. Finally took the time to read.
I know this is kind of a hijack-necro reply but good luck with your new build (both you guys) and thanks for the support during a rough time.

I still absolutely love the Gen1 body. Sleeper with just the right amount of flare. And the vertical tachometer. I hate watching rpms tip right instead of climb up.
I wouldn't mind dropping a different powerplant into that chassis.

Stock clutch. I wouldn't even mess with "comparable to stock". Just stick with stock. I had an ACT clutch and blew through 3 slave cylinders once on the highway in heavy traffic. This was after my "builder" convinced me I should "upgrade" when I wanted to stick with the stock clutch.

I'm starting to lean that way. They're still about 8-10k cheaper than a decent 2014 mustang gt. I bet the insurance is way lower too. Plus I miss driving a lighter, responsive car.

I've been thinking about getting one of these. They're pretty cheap used and many still have low miles. It's either a fist or a V8. At half the price of a camaro or gt, it's kinda appealing. I really didn't want to get into another turbo car though.

How is buying another car remotely a good solution compared to trying out some mounts. His car is near stock, because he DD's it so much.
With 88 duro jbr rmm, 80 duro tmm, stock pmm and BSD, I didn't think the nvh was that bad in my car until I stopped driving it for a while. When I drove it...
After spending just under 8k for my build that had to be done 3 times and almost a year, and I'm still not sure of its quality, I'd have gone this direction if it were available at the time.

I was talked into a BSD as well but in retrospect I would've left it in. Car was much louder/buzzy with the BSD. I don't know what builder's obsession with BSD's is.
